same old crap. No real questions asked and no real problems answered. Actually these are a waste of time and money. It is almost like the media is paid to not go certain places with their questions. Add to that the fake Tough Guy JF came out today so no reporter wants to be the the Aubrey Snyder Doghouse. Was there 1, freaking 1 damn question about a spy on Nico???
Media has gone soft like this PSU football team. No one wants to be offended or hurt feelings. I am sure the press all got participation trophy's on their way out the door today....

Both Steve Jones and Jack Ham stated before that punt was taken that UCLA mostly likely was going to take a safety and PSU needed to get to the punter ASAP. Anybody who knows anything about football knew that that is what UCLA was going to do, but Franklin thought that they were going to punt, which would've made no sense at all. Unbelievable.
That is the key point that keeps surfacing over and over again: “Anyone that knows anything about football…”. He is paid millions and does not even know the basics!

I'm 100% Tengwell at this point. He played for JF and is friends with the guys, yet still talks about what needs to be talked about.

EVERYONE else, especially TD, sugar coat things when JF is around.

Was it actually Franklin in the Monday conference today or just a cardboard cutout and recorded message?

WTF are these answers to Kaytron's carries. This must have taken several minutes to mumble through without saying anything:

Or maybe doesn't delegate enough to the O, D, and Special Teams coordinators?

STs have been pretty good this year. You mean during the timeout before the play that it didn't occur to either the DC or STC to mention an intentional safety? My guess is someone said something and he either ignored it or was adamant that we set up for the return.

I have to admit I thought Cignetti wouldn't be that successful but he is making a believer out of me. Make JF GM of the athletic dept and in charge of fundraising for the university both academically and athletically. JF is very good speaking at events and pressing flesh getting $$$$.
I want Franklin out. I don't want him as a GM. We don't need a GM and another bloated salary that takes away from NIL. We are not paying a new coach and Franklin. Figure out an exit strategy for him. I want him gone by Jan.

Which one of those wins were against a team with equal talent to PS? Frankin can only beat teams he has a big talent advantage period.
Every team but 5 would gladly take that record. But, hey, I get it. James hurt people's feelings and they want their pound of flesh.
Careful what ya wish for, and who's replacing him? Ruhle? Lol. Plus, the cost is going up. James is the 15th highest paid coach and he was 1 play away from the finals. Can't wait to see a real list of coaches people come up with.

Even if you think they are going to punt you still go for the block and rush everyone. We had no timeouts and 25 seconds to go 65 yards. We are not scoring a TD in that situation. Our only shot was to block the punt strip the punter, so you rush no matter what they decide to do. And this guy makes $10 million. Lord help us.

Did Franklin offer to give back any of his pay?
Are you going to ask Sarkisian to give his 10.8 million back as well? Most overrated coach in America with a massive recruiting and budget advantage. He has never won sh&t. Mediocre coach at best. How about Lane Kiffin at 9 million or Lincoln Riley at 11.5 million? Deion at 10.8? The list is pretty long. Franklin makes 8.5. He's underpaid for the market.

From a cash flow perspective, this would make sense. We could get something productive out of him and our incremental cost would only be the salary for the new head coach. Make Franklin the the assistant deputy vice athletic director in charge of football operations and pay a new coach 10 million.

The money in Franklin's salary is already baked into the budget. It's only the buyout amount that is not baked in.

So if we go this route, Kraft only has to come up with 10 million not 50 million

Coaches that can win most games they are favored? And 1-2 wins every decade they are underdogs? Garner worst loss in college football in last4 decades?

1. Take a list of coaches that you consider “average”; 2. All of them.

Wait - wasn’t Sark a semi-finalist last year? Never mind…!

There are 3 programs in the Big Ten alone that wouldn't take 4-21 against the top 10.

You missed the point. Franklin can only beat teams when he has players with athletic superiority. He clearly never out-coaches anyone.

I guess so but you have the Franklin stench hanging over the program still. Can you imagine if JoePa retired in 2000 but they had him in some admin football CEO role or whatever. The new guy couldn't be the guy. I kind of think this is the same thing. I am for a total cleaning house with Franklin out and all of his bad hires out. The two people I want staying are Terry Smith and Dan Connor.
