A dream scenario for WVU that still wouldn't happen if the aftermath of Texas joining the pac 16. Odds are WVU is left out again. People don't know how valuable Luck was getting us into the big 12. It was a perfect storm for us with lucks Texas connections, Chuck neinas connections to WVU as a consultant, etc.
We'll always be one of the last teams taken during expansion but I can't see us ever being left out completely.
Seems to me that Texas and Oklahoma have the perfect conference situation. Great recruiting area with 60% of the conference members within their states. They make as much if not more from TV contracts than other schools across the country. The majority of the Big 12 bowl games are played within a few hours drive of their campuses. Great national TV exposure and rabid fan bases plus one of the best rivalries in all of college football (Red River Rivalry). They also have their own TV networks and field some of the best olympic sports in all of college.
I can't see the PAC12 or SEC being able to offer these schools more than they already have in the Big 12. IMO, WVU is just luck
to be a conference member with such great programs as Oklahoma & Texas.
