What if OR and/or ND jump OM next week?

The two teams beat schools with a pulse. Let’s be honest there is no margin of victory tonight that helps OM’s case.

TX Tech did earlier this week after OM won 49-0.

And will next week’s open date further contribute to a slide out of the Top 10?

What exactly are you asking?

Ole Miss is 100% in the CFP if they finish off UF. They are currently up 3. They will finish ahead of both Oregon and ND if they finish at 11-1. Their OU win on the road just got a hell of a lot better after tonight….OU has a very viable path to the CFP now.

And saying UF is a “team without a pulse” is pretty dishonest. They beat Texas’ asś and also gave UGA all they wanted.

I really don't get the concern for all things concerning Oxford?

Florida is now 3-7. Tell me how that is dishonest.

I’m saying they beat a Top 10 ranked Texas and lost by less points to UGA than OM did. They’ve also played a pretty tough schedule. They aren’t good, but they have a pulse. And I bet they’d be favored on a neutral field over both Pitt and Minnesota.

So you're saying SoS factors in. Hmm ok. 😂

I’m saying the UF team beat is every bit as good or better than the teams that Oregon and ND played.

FPI Rankings

#33 Pitt
#35 Florida
#63 Minnesota (LOL)

By the way, #44 is Mississippi State. Minnesota is absolute garbage, and you have this dude saying only OM played a team without a pulse. It’s a horrid take.

What's the anti SEC bias looking like to have both an SEC national champ and 5 of 12 teams be SEC?

You can guess they will factor in OOC scheduling to ding teams and other ways to get the SEC down to 4 teams.

And the SEC front office and ESPN clearly values the size of fan bases.

I think Ole Miss is in but I disagree that it's 100%. The SECC champ game loser might have 2 losses and then all the crazy talk about how W's don't really complete the portfolio starts going crazy. If the SEC is limited to the 4 best teams, Ole Miss is on the bubble of that discussion.

The 4 team limit from one league is hogwash. It’s not a thing and never has been.

12 teams make the field. The top 5 conference champs (one of which will be an SEC team), then the next 7 best teams. That’s it.

You do the math, there could theoretically be as many as 8 teams from any one league make the field. Therefore it’s not a stretch at all that there would be 5 from the SEC one year or 5 from the B1G another year. 5 teams from one league WILL make it if they are deserving. Or 6. Or 7. That’s all there is to it.

The SEC may get 5 teams in......aTm, UGA, OM, Ok and Bama. However, the SEC will probably only get 4 based on the last polls.

ASSUMING.....Bama beats Auburn... does Bama get left out if they lose the SECCG?

Early CFP ranking guesses has Texas at 12 and Vandy at 13. I think Texas may fall further than 12. Anyways, Would the committee push Texas or Vandy back into the CFP IF.....IF.....either win out? Vandy yes.......Texas, maybe.

Alot depends on other conferences, obviously, for example the SEC needs USC and Washington to beat Oregon. Georgia needs to beat GTech in a few weeks. Wouldn't hurt if Miami lost one either.

Also, the SEC needs BYU to lose one and the B12 CG to fall out completely. If BYU wins out and loses to TxTech Big12 CG, to finish with two losses...although I think BYU loses to Tx/VU/Bama if played heads up......I think the committee would leave them in the top 11.

Lots of games to play still...

Until proven otherwise, I'm going to say we won't ever see more than 4 SEC teams in the 12 team playoff. And we will never see an SEC vs SEC championship game.

And would have lost to us at home, with a competent coach!

Bulldog fans will get to witness first hand how much more prepared the ole Miss staff will have their team with an extra week of preparation compared to the bulldog staff. It will be clearly obvious.

You’re acting like there’s some long history guiding your thinking, and its some crazy precedent.

We’re literally in Year 2 of this thing. Last year, there were only three SEC teams. Why aren’t you on here saying there can never be four teams?
