I predict game is delayed then cancelled!
The IHSA has to much to lose to lose this battle.
It comes down to who is in charge. Who has the final say.
I honestly don't understand the negative attitude directed towards the PFN coach. Even if he and the PFN administration vacated the victory and gave it to Fenwick, the IHSA would not allow Fenwick to play. The guy is respecting the decision the member association (IHSA) made regarding the outcome of the game. He is preparing his team to play on Saturday. It will take three years or so for a new group of players to filter thru the PN team before they get the cloud off of the school thanks to the head coaches attitude.
How do you know if the IHSA would not let Fenwick play if PN did the right thing. They have a TV contract to fulfill.I honestly don't understand the negative attitude directed towards the PFN coach. I read the statement issued by the IHSA Saturday night. How do you know if the IHSA would not let Fenwick play if PN did the right thing. They have a TV contract to fulfill.
If Fenwick truly pursues this through then IHSA cancels the 7A game and points at Fenwick as the bad guys.
That's a very odd way of looking at this.
Sorry, as some who does even like Fenwick since they begged out of the CCL blue your off base. It's like your blaming a crime victim for pursuing charges. Then blaming them when the bad guy goes to jail. See what you did to the young man!
No, you are way off base, sir. Your analogy makes no sense. PN isn't the bad guy. Fenwick fans trying to make PN out to be the bad guy has turned PN into the victim and Fenwick the bad guy.
Maybe we could chip up and buy some comfort dogs for you and the PN "victims". Maybe make the title game a safe zone. Maybe have a group cry before the game. Some play dough for you. Some crayons and coloring books?
Sorry there all in short demand at college campuses.
Fenwick got screwed. Plainfield North coach can't see the trees because the forest is in the way. He and his players can do the right thing a forfeit. The Trib article condenses the facts into a nice package.
There is only one way threw the IHSA's mess to come out a winner for Plainfield.
Hilarious that your life isn't fair rant is more applicable to Fenwick than PN. Grow up and move on. You aren't going to get your way on this one.
EVERYONE LOSES
Welcome to 60 minutes IHSA

The NCAA didn't change the results of the CMU/OSU game under the same circumstances if I recall.I'm not a big fan of the IHSA either and I agree that they have handled things poorly, but just playing devil's advocate, would ANY association overturn the results of a game, ever? Especially when a whole overtime session was played out after the fact? I remember Justin Verlander was one out from a perfect game a few years ago and the ump wrongly called a guy safe at first in the 9th with 2 outs. The ump and the MLB admitted wrongdoing but would not overturn the call. Verlander handled it with dignity and class.
We will see what the court say since there is no honor at PN. I guess suburban privilege is alive and well. Everyone gets a trophy if you deseve it or not. And if you happen to win the title game it will forever be considered undeserving. There is no honor in that.
