18th is as high as we can climb "under our own control" if we win the whole thing, without some serious help from teams losing inside the top 20. There is a wide gap up to Arky and Cal State Fullerton at #20 and #19, then another wide gap to #18 Arizona St and #17 Kentucky.
We need Arizona St(ineligible for postseason) to THUMP Arizona 3 times this weekend, and CSF to lose decisively a few times as well, but I'm not sure it'll matter in the long run. As long as the NCAA is playing the "geographically correct" card, the west coast will get at least 4 regionals.
