Seems like a good guy but only one season? And he really hasn't worked at any other big time program? If we're going mid major I would think we would want someone who had been a head coach for a much longer period of time. I would like to actually see what he has done over a 3-4 years, recruiting, increase in wins each year, off court issues, etc...The other option to me is an assistant from a true basketball school, UK, Duke, UNC, etc...Guys that have seen success at the highest level and played the best programs in the country. Prohm may be a great guy and may turn out to be the next Adolph Rupp but after one year at school that consistently wins with no track record in recruiting, no regular competition with the big boys, I just think this would be more of a knee jerk than an actual good hire. Am I wrong here? What has this guy done to warrant a 1+million dollar deal at an SEC school? He had one great season against nobody with somebody else's recruits. I just don't see it.
