What is stopping us from setting a baseball attendance record tomorrow

besides a bad record? Yeah the season is not going that well. But I imagine there will be more people on campus this weekend than ever before in the spring semester. 40,000 at the spring football game. It seems like it would be pretty easy to get 15 or 16k in the baseball stadium. Don't forget the people going to the baseball game that aren't going to the spring game.

we had 30K last year and I think Saturday's attendance was like 10K for the baseball game.

I'm heading down this weekend to enjoy Starkville, get hammered, and go to the football scrimmage. I really haven't given much thought to the baseball series. I'm just a casual supporter of MSU baseball. I hope we do well and get back to where we once were, but at the end of the day, it's just baseball to me. If we suck, I don't really get worked up one way or another. If my friends want to go to the game, I'll go. If my friends want to go to the bar, I'm off to the bar. That's about all the thought I'll give baseball tomorrow - sorry.

I'm going to assume there are more than a handful of fans with my mindset re: baseball right now.

you're already on campus. Are you telling me you'd rather go to the arts festival or go to a bar at 1:00 pm or eat ice cream than getting drunk with 10k+ at Dudy Noble? It's not even about the baseball. It's just a great place to be on a Saturday afternoon. I am most excited about the football game, but the football game will be somewhat dull and quiet. The baseball game is a big social event and, if you want, a huge party. I just don't understand why there would be 40,000 people right down the street and they wouldn't want to attend the party before the game.

Chances are everyone will leave after a few innings of bad baseball. We can put another 15k in for the rest of the game.

Most of the local restaurants set up a booth on University right outside the Bin selling delicious food, there is live music on Page and usually in front of Coconut's, and you have locals in booths selling their wares. It's a lot of fun.
