What is "The South"? I see there's a signing day party there....

a place to host events, right behind the old Mardi Gras building. Actually, "The South" is/was a store in northeast Jackson that had clothes and interior decorations and such, and it has recently re-located to the building downtown, so I guess technically it's a store, but I think the party will be in the open area of the building.

The building is owned by a good Bulldog.

and I think it's the old McRae's warehouse. It's been restored very well and will be the new LARGE hall for meetings, weddings, and culinary events. Someone did a very good job.

great place, have been to two weddings there. The larage hall is perfect for this sort of thing. Just may not wanna enjoy the cash bar to much, not the best place to leave a car over night.
