I'm sure Maine will take the cake, but, losing to Auburn 3 to 2 tops my list. If you tell me all we need to do is kick a fg at some point in regulation to at least force o.t., I'm allin.
3 days to kickoff. Thinking about my school's worst isn't really at the top of my mind.

I can't fathom how that 2004 team went on to win 2 SEC games. The Maine loss was ridiculously embarrassing.
The LA Tech loss killed all of our momentum after Croom's bowl year. And even though Ole Miss was good that year, the performance we had that day was pathetic. I think we had something like 36 yards of total offense.
2001 worst season to endure. After winning the independence bowl the previous year the Bulldog nation was feeling good about its football team. We start out 2001 with a 30-10 win against Memphis. All is well and good in Starkville. Then 9/11 happens. Games get pushed back. We have the FIRST game back from all games being cancelled. The entire nation is watching as we play South Carolina and unveil a humongous American flag over the field to remember the fallen from 9/11. We lose 16-14 and then I still to this day can't explain what happened to our football program. It absolutely fell off a cliff into a land of horrible horrible football. Something happened to us when we lost to South Carolina that day. We became 9/11 cursed or something. Next game we lose 52-0 to Florida and it took till the day Dan Mullen got hired to get out of that pit of hell. Let's us never forget.

Maine is a given for any MSU fan who's ever watched a game in Davis Wade. As for my 2nd most embarrassing.....
That tornado stricken Homecoming against Troy in 2011 was the beginning of the end for JWS. It was pitiful to watch our effort that day. We cleared the stadium, went back to dorms, and then went back into stadium to watch us **** the bed. Given, the field drainage that day was the most horrendous I've ever seen it, we were clearly the better team, but clearly had no desire to be playing football.
