What is your main concern

I think that we will be much better at the position but I think that will be out weakest link. Due to the scheme change on defense they will not have to cover receivers for 30 seconds. I am a little concerned about Lawarence at LB just because he is unproven.

If we don't find a passing game this year, it will put more pressure on the running backs. Unlike a lot of people on this board, losing Dixon will hurt if we can't pass. Dixon carried our offense most of the season. The reason I have WR's third is because if we can't pass, our running game will not be effective, and our wide receivers will be a non factor.</p>

i think o'neal wilder leaving may hurt more than i thought it could. Also a good walk-on, sam williams, went down with an ACL a day or two ago. I think he was being expected to contribute some. I think the WR receivers may be playing both ways again in the Spring Game. I hope some true freshman can come in the summer and give us some depth.

ETA: we have already started moving DB's over to WR. Arceto Clark who was running 2nd team DB is now back at WR where he practiced last year.

I know Russell hasn't played a down. But I expected him to be a better passer than Chris "throws TDs to Bumphis on accident" Relf

I think we have guys that can finally throw the ball, but other than Bumphis, I am a little concerned. Green will be a big part of the offense as a TE. Heavens and Perkins are also good slot guys. But we may very well be looking at Micheal Carr- who I really like and would have been a lot more talked about if he had wanted to be an attention ***** during recruiting, and Robert Johnson as our starting WR's, or a guy like Chris Smith who has to prove to me that he is more consistent.

Carr was the best player I saw last year as far as Mississippi on film. I think he is going to be an all-SEC guy.

I think we need to geta little taller overall at WR- I like 6'5" guys like, well O'Neal Wilder.

Also, both offensive tackles are solid with Sherrod and Addison Lawrence. However, if one of them gets hurt, we're in trouble. Freeman has never contributed, Templeton Hardy is back at guard, and you don't want a true freshman starting. If one of the starters gets hurt, offensive tackle moves from a team strength to a team weakness in a hurry.

and Green's ability, he can be a mismatch that we can exploit. I think Green could have a nice year. I always liked when Tebow ran the option with the runningback as pitchman outsideand the tight end as pitchman underneath (shuffle pass). I'd like to see us install that.

Heck, we may see Green at WR some.

We expect to only have 2 QBs worthy of playing and a handful of inexperienced WRs & RBs. We only have 4 guys who've ever scored an offensive TD (Relf, Bumphis, Green, Elliott - sorry if I'm leaving someone out). And they only have about 10 TDs between them. So I guess my main concern is finding more offensive threats. These guys can't carry the load all season, and heaven help us if..... I won't finish that. So that's what I'm worried about.<div>
</div><div>I'm hoping guys like Berry, Smith, and Ballard step up big time for us. This has got to be more than a 2-3 man show. We know the defense will be solid, we know the o-line is a strength. Now we just need guys who can make plays & move the ball.</div>

my 2 biggest questions would be 1. How is Cam Lawrence gonna play at OLB? and 2. Who are we gonna get the ball to other than Bumphis? I think we can still be a dominating defense even if Cam struggles because we can just go nickle alot and play Mitchell down in the box. I just don't know right now who our other playmakers are gonna be. Heavens and Berry have both had solid spring practices but you can't put Heavens and Bumphis in there at the same time. I think Marcus Green is gonna contribute a lot next year. He is very well fit for this offense. The rb's have not wowed me at all thus far. I have been unimpressed by the "commitee" approach. Looks like Relf is gonna have to carry the load for rushing yrds. Perkins is good in the open field and Elliot/Ballard are solid guys. I was expecting more from Conner. He has the build and talent to be our guy. I guess his injuries have slowed his progression. I think Michael Carr and Robert Johnson could come in as freshman next year and see alot of playing time due to our WR depth-they almost have to for us to have a 2 deep of scholly players anyway.</p>

Our offense improved from a 103 ranking to a 65 ranking in $%$'s first year. The offense was below 100 in all 5 years under Croom. Last year we had less WRs than this year and less QB. The defense should be much better this year under Diaz. The team knows the plays better this year than last. If this team stays healthy and out of trouble we will be good.

WR. I really don't think we'll be airing it out that much and we won't really need to be that deep at WR...Bumphis, Heavens, Green, and our RBs may be all we need.

I haven't heard anything about him, though I admit I really don't follow fall football
