I predict much continuing pain as LUS's OL and DL completely dominate both sides of the ball. 19 of last 21.

Generally they run between the tackles. We are strong there. Our problem is our ends and OLBs. They can't contain the edges

The team we fielded today would have lost to UGA, USC, Bama, Arky, squeaked past UK, and would still beat TSUN at our house. No helpful upsets remain in our future if we play as sloppily as we did today (and as we did against Memphis - sloppy sloppy D). If today's play is the measuring stick, we will be lucky to win the rest of the games we should win, we'll go 6-6 end up in the Liberty or Compass, and be damn happy to be bowling at all.

If Wilson gets a clue and we find a D before we play UGA -- a team now viewing us as the redemption game on their schedule! - we might scrape together a 7-5 season, and with any luck in an upset, manage an 8-4 season same as last year.

If we do not regain some kind of spark by Thursday, they will have to send Dr. Quincy in after the game to examine our bodies and find all the different ways that LSU killed us.

I dream of the day when being favored by all and being picked to win isn't the 17ing kiss of death for a Mississippi State football team. It is like bloody clockwork to watch us implode once we get some love.

...Auburn has allowed 72 points in their first 2 games, yet are miraculously 2-0.

South Carolina has allowed 79 points in their first 2 games, yet are miraculously 2-0. The only one that makes sense is UGA has given up 80 points in their first two games, & is 0-2.

The only decent defenses in the SEC this year are Bama & ...wait for it...Vandy. At least so far.

I mention this because I can't too upset about MSU's ****** defense when 80% of the teams in the league this year have ****** defenses.

If nobody plays defense any more, there is no way in hell you can predict a final record for MSU.
