What kind of crowd does it look like we will have tonight?

From the locals, what is the scoop? Even though we are all disappointed, is there excitement?

Talked to loyal Bulldogs fan who turned down free NIT ticket; "They couldn't give away $5s and fill the gym tonight." Ouch.

...
if calipari is whining about playing thursday after that final, what are we going to look like on tuesday.

all these people saying we need to get it together and go win the damn thing. please tell me who won it last year.
i could name 6 teams that lost in the first round before i could name 6 in the Nit last year

9 pm basketball games in Starkville, MS are not likely to produce good crowds.

Not because I do not want to attend but because I am out of town. I believe it will be a small crowd but if win tonight the UNC crowd will be improved. I plan on attending that game unless we get royally embarrassed tonight.

I can't attend that late of a game on a weekday, otherwise I would go. If I were a student, I would definitely be there though.

I seem to remember that we had an early-season-crap-opponent-esque crowd on that occasion, too. And that game wasn't at 9 pm on a weeknight. Lots of Jackson people who normally would consider going won't go, since they would be 2am getting home.

i predict a womens school record crowd tonight of 4500. The excitement will be comparable to a season opening game against a should win Rider

I think we played USM first, then @ Pitt, then Tulsa at home. That was my final basetball season when I was in school.

According to a site I found, the game was played Wednesday, March 21, 2001.

MSU 75, USM 68. Wednesday, March 14, 2001
MSU 66, Pitt 61. Monday, March 19, 2001
Tulsa 77, MSU 75. Wednesday, March 21, 2001

I guess it still could've been spring break, but I doubt it.
