he is only in the bottom half of the top 5.

Its embarrassing we still give him the ball.

...though I bet his combine 40 time (if he's even invited) is going to hurt him.

I believed that Dixon numbers were inflated because he was an above-average talent who simply got a ton of carries.

This year is different. He's showing how good he can really be when he's at the right weight, plays with enthusiasm, and is in a well-run offense.

before but this year is like night and day compared to the first 3. He has much more power, energy, determination and quickness. He just looks overall in much better shape with almost a chip on his shoulder. I think some of his critics from years past, including me at times, were dead on with much of what was said...but AD is a different runner this year...

I also agree that i imagine his 40 times at the combine are gonna kill him though...great to see him getting some chatter though. Go getem AD...

this should also help recruiting- this is something we can use because they sign in Febuary...and before the combine makes him drop in the April draft

over the last 4 years would have been an amazing college career to witness. i am damn glad he gets one year of something that doesn't resemble turds going down a drain.

Don't you think that has a little to do with the schemes we are running this year? He is no longer running against 8 in the box. We ran 1 play against Houston in the Croom formation with a FB leading the way and Dixon got dropped for a 3 yard loss.

I remember a thread on here last year comparing Ducre and Dixon and 90% of the posters picked Ducre. I said at the time that thread separated the idiots from the intelligent posters. I wish I had it archived.

I'm sure scheme is a part of his success this year. However, what has really impressed me with him this year is his 2nd effort. He just seems to be running much harder, and is not willing to go down as easily this year.

the guy has always run hard and always gotten a yard or two more than he should.

Every back looks better when there are lanes to run through.

we ran more spread option-type plays in that game, and dixon thrived, with 23 carries for 179 yards and a TD.

we are now committed to this type of offense, our line is being coached (apparently), and dixon is responding basically every game. not to mention he is in the best shape of his college career. he seems to be playing like a pro in a contract year - as if he knows what's riding on this season.

I dont think his 40 time will KILL him unless he lets himself get back out shape. I think if he stays in shape and gets coaching for the combine a 4.55 or lower will keep him alive, make him around a 5th rounder and I think he'll eventually make it in some capacity

i think a 4.5 gets him in round 3. glen coffee is smaller than dixon (6'0", 209) and ran a 4.58 last year. he was the 10th pick in the 3rd round. dixon also needs to do well for his size in the agility drills and show his strength. if he can do that, i think he can realistically hope for the 3rd round. he has good hands, too, which the NFL likes.

Everybody was wrong on Snead. Just face it, Dixon is a better back than Scott. Do I expect you to have a sudden change of heart? No. Just know you are wrong now and will be wrong on draft day also. TAG IT.

he looked like a top QB. Things can always change with everyone. For instance, Charles Scott used to be considered the best back in the SEC.
