Say we strike out on all our targets and end up ranked #40-50, what are your suggestions for turning things around?

Fire Mullen? Nope.
Fire Hev and Salich? Not happening.
Hire a new recruiting coordinator? Already did that.
Hire a known recruiter to replace Hughes? Did that too.
What's left?

This is so dumb?

Hire a new recruiting coordinator? Already did that.
Hire a known recruiter to replace Hughes? Did that too

Have they been here long enough to have that much of an affect?

yes but this looks like it should be posted in 2 years and when we continue to not have success in recruiting.

Yep. He needs to get better at writing his resume or get better at recruiting. And pick one fast.

If he wants to be here, I want him here. He needs to make sure he isn't the first bullet in the chamber next time.

If this happens we just have to admit that the Bears have passed us by, and get used to it. We are just poor ole Miss State...
We will not compete for SEC championships with Mullen as our coach, we had our chance with Dak and swung and missed.

If he wants to "get better at recruiting" he`s got to get his name out of the rumor mill for EVERY job that comes open. His competitors have to be beating him over the head with this. I know this is not "THE" answer by itself but it would take a fool to not acknowledge it`s a problem.

Fair enough. I don't get upset about it because I see it as a sign Mullen's doing a good job here, but it would be nice for Mullen to be more forceful in his public statements.

Pay the players....it is untraceable and as we are finding out, there are absolutely NO repercussions. Cam Newton should have been a Bulldog...that one was so easy...a cash donation in a church collection ...and because MSU had a better defense than Auburn that year, MSU could have won it all.

I'm asking what concrete steps can Mississippi State take to improve recruiting going forward.

MSU needs to start a law school and journalist/reporters/media factory. Make it the largest one in the state and start pumping out lawyers and reporters at a ridicously high rate. Who gives a **** if they suck. Just flood the country with MSU alumni in those fields. Then have them vomit MSU down everyone's throats. Oh and change the city of Starkville's name to the city of Gold. We play in the Golden Triangle for the Golden Egg already. Let's play for it in Gold.
