What odds do you give us to beat Bama?

They play Thursday at Arkansas, which I think is a pretty big factor that I haven't seen mentioned yet. We get two extra days of rest <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">and preparation</span>. There are certainly a couple of other big factors involved too - whether Hood will play for us and whether Green will play for them. Here's how I see our chances:

If both/neither play: 35% chance we win
If only Hood plays: 45%
If only Green plays: 20%

I've seen us lose games before and had that thought, and we've come back and won a game I didn't think we'd get under the circumstances. Wasn't it two years ago when we lost a tough OT game to UK and then won at LSU (who wasn't as good then as Bama is now but I still remember thinking we would come out flat and lose).

I just don't think I ever know what to fully expect out of this team unless we're playing a big time opponent (and then we'll play a heck of a game for 35 minutes and lose it in the last 5 - see: UK, Baylor, and to a lesser degree Florida). There's really nothing that would "surprise me" with this group anymore because I've seen us win at Vandy and then lose three in a row to UGA at LSU and at AU.

So, I think we have a chance, just not a great one. But maybe I'm giving our team more credit than they deserve. Maybe instead of "unpredictable", they're just bad.
