From reading this board it would seem we are a substantial favorite but is this game not more of a coin flip scenario?

I'll say 50%

Anyone seen a projected line?(Aubie -3 would be my guess)

With AU losing as much talent as they did last year, I would be very disappointed if we lost to them. I'd say 75% sure we beat them. Losing Fairley and Newton alone is a huge hit, not to mention all the other starters they lost. It's a similar dropoff to what the bears experienced after their Cotton Bowl run.

100%? This board has some of the most imcompetent idiots I have ever come across. I don't care if you are joking or not, that is just stupid. This is a road game against a team with more talent than us. I expect a win but 100%? Give me a break.

I think this game could be the biggest one of our season. If we can get the win and get the momentum rolling then there could possibly be no stopping us. Go ahead and call me an optimistic Gene's "sunshine" Page poster but I got big expectations for this year.

and if Wilson has prepared our defense well enough to stay in their lanes, stick to their assignments, etc. You know Malzahn is waiting past Utah State to pull a couple of trick plays out, and it all depends on if our defense is assignment ready to handle the smoke and mirrors offense that Malzahn runs.

Malzahn did alot of misdirection/trick plays in 2009, then shyed away from it last year a little because he knew he had superior atheletes than most of his opponents. I think he goes back to more of that2009 type of offense this year
I just hope Mullen is waiting past Memphis to show Auburn our new hurry up fast paced Oregon offense too...

and lose a ton of talent and seniors. AP has them 23 and usa today has them 19. No way in hell. What you did last year shouldn't matter so much in college football, especially when you lose everyone that made you great.

you seriously think AU has more talent than us this year? Your afraid of Barrett Trotter? You would tradePerkfor McCaleb as a dangerous back? You would trade Ballard for Dyer as an everydown back.

LSU more talent....yes. AUhell no. They may be more talentedon OL or LB but that is it.

I, personally would give us 100 percent offs to beat Auburn. There is a 50% chance that we skulldrag them, and a 50% chance that they keep it close, but we will not lose this game.

When I say more talented I mean talent not production. The guys on the Auburn roster were more wanted by other coaches than our guys. They are just younger and unproven. I would also really consider giving up Perkins for McCaleb. Perkins hasn't proven he can run inside and McCaleb is faster IMO.

for example what are our odds of winning @Auburn if Chris Relf goes down with an injury or somehow is not available for the game. The dynamics can change quickly in football.

Malzhan had a badass offense with Chris 17ing Todd playingQB. They will be able to score points. And their defense lost a ton of starters, but they have talent. I will be happy if we win this game, much less if we blow them out. It is going to be far too close for comfort.

Auburn is talented sure. Hell, every team in our league has talent. What they lack is thefirepower they had last year. They don't have the Cam Newton "get out of 3rd down free card" option or Nick Fairley and his WCW QB takedowns either. Not to mention Darvin Adams at WR, etc. Get them in 3rd and 5 yards or more and I like our chances on D. Newton bailed them out against us last year countless times on 3rd down.I don't have the stats in front of me but he must have sustained drives at least 10 times last year against us with his legs. Our defense couldn't get off the field against them and we still had opportunities to win that game.Broomfield's dropped pick 6, Leon Berry's pass drops at the end...

My prediction is MSU 27 Auburn 17. We move to 2-0 and prepare to play our first home game against anLSU teamled by Jarrett Lee in the raucous Dawg Pound. Lee throws a minimum of 2 picks. Sorry, getting ahead of myself there.

THEY ARE STARTING 12-13 FRESHMEN. I think this is going to be too much to overcome, we win by 11.
