What Ole Miss does matter for our team...

In football, there's not a lick of difference between these two schools. The Egg Bowl record shows that. We are equals. There is no little brother. We are the measuring stick for each other. So whatever is possible at Ole Miss is possible at State and vice versa. That's why their win over LSU is important for us. According to FWTCT, they've had FIVE "signature wins" since our last one. If we aren't matching or exceeding their success, then our coaches aren't doing a good job. Period. End of story.

The ball is in Dan's court. Either he beats one of USCe, A&M, or Bama AND he beats Ole Miss, Arkansas & Kentucky, or he should be gone.

Again, it's year 17ing five and our three best wins are 6-7 UGA (2010), 8-5 UF (2010) and Ole Miss (2009). That's pathetic.

On top of not having a signature win, when is the last time MSU has fought like Ole Miss did against A&M? Ole Miss is 1-3 in it's last four, but they play like they are 3-1. They lose to Bama, and end up beating a top ten team. Last year, we lost to Bama and licked our wounds for a month while getting skull 17ed along the way. That's on Mullen.

This is not "little brother" talking. We are equals. If they accomplish anything, then it's possible that we can do it. If we don't, it's on Mullen. We are paying him too damn much to accept anything less.
