What restaurant(s) will you never eat at again?

Any buffet type restaurant.

At a Golden Corral a few years ago, I was in line waiting to put some toppings on my ice cream and a boy, maybe age 8, put his whole hand in the chocolate chips to put on his ice cream instead of using the ladle. The mother of the child told him do not use your hands. The boy said ok and dropped all the chips back into the container. This all happened in front of an employee. Did the employee take the chocolate chip container away? No. He just took the ladle and scrapped the top portion off the top. I just looked at him and then gave him my ice cream and said "Thank you for letting me make a decision not to come back to this place."

Ryans. Not bad food just not enough variety for the price. Basically they had fried chicken and a bunch of filler starches.

What is wrong with cheddars and culver's?

I love both of them. Fast food culver's is up at the top with CFA.

Chili's. I have never had anything there that didn't taste like it wasn't a microwaved frozen meal. I know people that love the place but I just order something to drink and a basic appetizer as a meal. I would rather go to White Castle.

1. McDonald's! - the pink slime ish and the facts about the "100% pure beef" used in their burgers and the whatever it is they use in their McNuggets as well as the truth about the potatoes they use for their fries was enough for me to swear off their food for the rest of my life. I've effectively avoided eating at any McD's for nearly 4 years now and don't plan on anytime in the near future.
2. Olive Garden - got sick after 2 of the last 3 times I ate there and I have not had any interest in returning there.
3. Moby Dick - see above
4. Ponderosa - cause their food is gross

honorable mention - Passtime Fish House in Louisville, KY. I'll eat there again because the fish is awesome, but they have, hands down, the worst server in the history of the food service industry. She's rude to customers, talks down to you like you're a piece of s**t and is generally unpleasant ALL OF THE TIME! I can only assume she still has a job because she owns the place, or if she doesn't, she has blackmail photos of the person who does. I encourage everyone in Louisville who hasn't done so to try eating there for lunch one day just to take it all in. It's amazing how badly she treats the customers. Oh, and if you want to really set her off, try taking a ketchup or tartar sauce bottle from another table while she can see you. That makes for a fun verbal exchange.

On a related note, they're shutting down hundreds of McDonalds. The more information gets out, the more their business will decline.

If it has been caught with roaches or rats, I am done. Probably more concerned about the roaches than the rats, but anyway. If they kept serving food with a rodent problem, and had to be caught by the health dept, what is to keep them from doing it again?
Not a fan of Golden Coral or Ryan's, due to the clientele.
Other than the Oasis in Lex and Lynaughs, I am good with whatever.

My last trip to Golden Corral was the weirdest restaurant experience I've ever had, due to the clientele. The first thing that happened was to see a kid bare-hand a chocolate chip cookie through the chocolate wonderfall. The second was the woman I saw on the way back to my table adjusting her breast/bra fitment by removing her bare breast and then reinserting it into her bra, while sitting in the dining room. I haven't been back.

That's basically asking you if you'd like to hit it in semaphore. She took them out then subliminally hit you with the "want some" then since you didn't respond with an immediate boner she put it back.

Don't you speak Golden Coralese?

She may have been stuffing some food in there to take home with her.

I can only describe her as a white, female version of this. I'm not sure she realized where she was.

McDonalds and most national fast food. Their ingredients list looks like a science experiment. And it usually tastes terrible.

Golden Corral/Ryanys/Chinese Buffets/Etc. You KNOW for that price, the food quality is garbage. Plus you know the cleanliness factor is basically below 0. Finally you have to deal with the other people who frequent these places. No thanks.

Applebees/O CHarleys/Cheddars/Olive Garden. Garbage. More scientific ingredient lists. Overpriced.

Long Johns. Tastes great, but I always feel like Ive injected sludge directly into my bloodstream. I feel terrible for a day or two after eating it. But it does taste great.

Rallys. Used to be great. Now the quality is awful.

Honorable mention: zaxbys and BW3's. Zaxbys tastes good, but I really dont think thats actual chicken. BW3's used to be great, then they changed the quality of their food. Now its basically the same fake chicken other places (Zaxbys) uses. Tastes good, but not what it should be.

Injecting sludge directly into your bloodstream is pretty much the business model of the fast food industry. That's pretty much the point. Like drinking yourself to death only with food.

Olive Garden and Red Lobster are way too ghetto now.
I agree with bigblueinsanity about Long John's. Last time I ate there I didn't want to eat again for about 24 hours because of all the grease.
Most of the people who go to Ryan's and Golden Corral take my appetite away.

People just don't want that crap anymore. Not only does more information hurt McDonald's, but newer chains are killing them. Why go to McDonald's when you can eat Chipotle? Better tasting food, healthier, just as fast and almost as cheap. And bonus points that there's always 12 bone-able girls in any Chipotle at any given time.. which is 12 more than I've seen in my entire lifetime at a McDonalds.

Hall's on the River - Boonesborough use to be good but rather eat Capt D's now.
Little Ceaser's Pizza, McDonalds, Long John Silver's, KFC
Any Subway with owners named like Patel or such.
ESPN Zone in Washington DC - overpriced , overrated - Try instead Old Ebbitt's Grill if you are in town instead.

Kentucky has the worst Mexican restaurants on earth. We need to become a sanctuary state or something so we can get some decent food.

I would say Red Lobster but they have their Shrimp Fest going on. Too much of a fatty to pass that up. Only reason I go there.

After finding a rubber glove in the potato soup there Saturday, I'm not sure I can ever eat there again.
That's not good. My mother found part of a tennis shoe sole in Colorado once. I've not had any such incidents.....that I know of.

If it weren't for their beer......

I quit going to TGIFs because most of their apps can be bought frozen in a grocery store.

I once found a live baby in a bowl of soup at Red Lobster. Never eating there again.

Live baby what?

My wife has mentioned about three times in the last year that she wanted to go to a Red Lobster. I never reply with any more than "ok". If I put up too much fight, I'll end up going. I should write a book.

I have low standards. It would take something pretty bad to stop eating at the following:

White Castle may be my favorite place. Hog down 15 sliders and let the family evacuation begin.

Love Long John's. Grease immediately begins to come out my pores but man it's good.

Chinese buffets-pretty much eat them all

Quaint hole in the wall places that look awful. I'll give them all a try, most of the time they turn out good. Example below of local BBQ place here.

Outside not much

Inside nice and food good

36 years ago I was a freshman at Berea College, working at Boone Tavern. Turned over a tray of forks on the dining room floor. Roaches looked like a jail house break across the floor. I need to get back there sometime. Spoon bread is to die for.

Not really a hater on chains, prefer and try to eat local as much as possible, especially with the countless Diners up this way. Some of the chains I could do without ever stepping foot in again would be Cheddars, Cheesecake Factory, A'bees, Fridays, Chilis, any Italian chain although I do love me some salad and breadsticks from OG. Most of my trips to McDs is for breakfast only, burger every blue moon.

I try and stay away from Chinese Buffets, lord knows I punish myself when I do go, usually just pull up a chair to the buffet itself and go to town.
