Wait, so you spread peanut butter on a saltine and dip in chili?

K?

No.

FIL makes a huge platter of PB & Saltine cracker 'sandwiches' and sets it in the middle of the table. Just a sidecar to much on between bites or along with I guess, but it's good & religiously done across that family.

Grilled cheese. Never heard of anyone eating PB samich with chili but it doesn’t sound crazy.
Good Lawd where were you raised that you never heard of that. Peanut Butter and Jelly. Yes jelly. Dip that $chitt in the chili and enjoy. Grilled cheese comes in third behind PB&J and straight up PB.

I've never had anything with my chili but some cornbread. And when I was a kid they always gave us saltines to crunch up in it at school.

I think we can all agree that the prime ingredient in chili is of course, the chili powder. First time my wife made me her chili... she didnt know that. I was so shocked by how bad it was because of the no chili powder, I spit it out. In front of her whole family. Surprisingly, i was taken aside and thanked by the family, because none of them had the guts to tell her! She makes great chili now... and a small pot of her original just for herself. She's a stubborn woman.

The correct answer is 2 grilled cheese. The first to sop up all the chili juice. Then you eat the solid stuff. And then the second to wipe down the bowl.

Peanut butter is what we got at school so that's out.

Grilled cheese is like fried bologna: It's trailer people trying to look like FHA neighborhood people.

Undisputed winner: Minner Cheese.

First off: if beans, pasta, or cheese pile approach my chili it is sent back to the idiot who made it. Texas style chili only for this guy.

grilled cheese for tomato soup is the proper sidecar.

FOR CHILI - A magical stack of MFn Andy Griffith’s RITZ crackers are the call to add crunch and layered butter richness to the scene.

The answer is everything works.

Chili is the America of foods. A true melting pot you can do anything you want because Liberty. Makes me furious to see people try to put rules on Chili. Well chili don't care about your rules. That's why a man makes it.

Add beans, spaghetti, hot dogs, Frito chips, chicken, vegetarian, brisket, cheese. Whatever. I've never made the same recipe twice. Tell me not to put something in, I'll slap your face front and back.

Grilled cheese or hotdog. I like to put some mac and cheese in the bottom of the bowl and pour the chili over the top.

With it being chili weather I thought I would get y’all’s take on this. I was raised eating peanut butter sandwiches with my chili. My wife thinks this is lunacy and says cornbread or grilled cheese goes with chili. I’m not a big corn bread fan and for me grilled cheese has always gone with tomato soup. Most people I’ve asked have never heard of peanut butter sandwiches with chili but a few have. What do y’all say?
I was going to post the same thing. Others think I am nuts but, that is a good combination.

A glob of peanut butter on a plate with saltine crackers and a hunk of cheese cut into bite size pieces. That's my usual side to a bowl of chili.

Many years ago in grade school, we got a peanut butter sandwich with chili and a grilled cheese with vegetable soup. Kinda strange at the time, mom had always just served crackers with chili. Now, I eat my chili Wendys style, plate full of Fritos Scoops, chili, and topped with shredded cheese. Delicious!

I’ve never seen so many right ways to make chili. What not to do is the hard part. So many rules. If chili with noodles isn’t chili is bbq chicken pizza really pizza?

The never heard of pb and chilli crowd definitely didn't attend public school in KY.
Nothing wrong with chicken in chilli as white bean chilli rocks.
Probably the most vercital dish there is . I like to continually tweak the recipe.
