....generally I'd like to see them beat LSU, because everybody hates LSU, but in a specific situation, I may or may not want Ole Miss to win.
I can't say that I want them to lose to everybody they play, because I've been around when both teams are good, and when both teams are bad, and it's more fun when both teams are good.

on general principle. Anyone who doesn't understand why, doesn't know anyone from Arkansas. My priorities on Saturday are:
1) MSU winning
2) Ole Miss losing
3) Auburn losing
4) Southern Miss losing
5) Alabama losing
After that, it's situational.
Ole Miss and Southern are instate rivals, and we compete for all things. Southern isn't usually an issue even if they win, and I'd love to see them beat Ole Miss, but not if it meant their program would take off and create YET ANOTHER thorn in MSU's side. I just hate Auburn, but I know they are always going to be a notch above us, so I don't really want Ole Miss to beat them because it wouldn't benefit MSU. Alabama is Alabama, they are a football power, no denying it. They are still a bunch of crybaby **** and VERY easy to 17 with when they lose because their entire self esteem is wrapped up in Bammer football. Still more fun to see Ole Miss fans lose, though.
But I don't give two ***** about Arkansas, if they are good or not. They are just dumb. So sure, I like seeing Nutt stick it to their asses. It's all about who's more fun to watch lose.

most SEC fans would agree with you on Arkansas. I think Georgia and Arkansas are at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of how they are viewed by other SEC fans. Rivalries aside, Georgia seems to be generally well liked, while Arkansas is almost universally despised. Of course, LSU is easy to hate too but for different reasons.
Unlike Ole Miss fans who live in the fantasy of thinking LSU is their rivalry, Ole Miss is our rivalry and I hate Ole Miss sports. The fans as people are great and would do anything in the world to help one but as Ole Miss fans, I hope they go to sleep every night with a heart burn.One exceptionI might pull for Ole Miss baseball if they were playing the Cuban nantional team.

especially if you throw out ranking/bowl situations. Obviously I want them to perform worse than we do overall, but if that's already given I really don't care if they win or lose on any given week.
Edit to add: Or if they're playing a school I *really* can't stand-- Southern California being the #1 example.</p>
Lived in Arkansas since I graduated, these people are completely insane. True story, I had mytruck decorated with Arkansas stuff after they beat OLE MISS once. And my truck is goddamm maroon. The people at the office actually talked sh*t to me about beaing ole miss for the whole week. I guess it was b/c I was from Mississippi. I never figured it out.
