What the 17 Happened to Dawg Walk Yesterday

After leaving the pep rally and walking half a mile, hundreds of MSU fans gathered alone the south gates of Reliant Stadium for Dawg walk as had been scheduled. We where even encouraged to do so by Mr. Stricklin during his speech at the pep rally. We stood there for over an hour in 97 degree heat. The event staff roped the area off for the players to enter. Scott walked around greeting the fans. Some MSU staffer even came around saying "they are almost here; let's be loud."

But then, 15 minutes after the team was scheduled to arrive, someone comes out and says that the team was already inside the stadium! Scott had a WTF look on his face. I don't know who made the decision to skip-out on the event. It was in very poor taste. Hundreds of fans spent money to support this team. Stood out in the heat. And the team does a no show. I for one felt like crap when some OSU fan asked me if our team had chickened out. I think that Mullen made that call and it was as bad as the rest of the calls he made yesterday.

The cops led them to the wrong entrance

I feel pretty confident Mullen purposely led the bus to another entrance

That's almost true.

MSU fans were lined up in what turned out to be the OSU players walk.

No way Mullen skipped out on being cheered on by hundreds of fans. Somebody screwed up the logistics. The fans got the wrong instructions or the football team did.

But it was funny to crash the OSU walk. MSU fans hogged the whole place and ended up bailing a minute or two before the OSU players showed up. There weren't very many OSU fans there anyway. Some of us ended up walking in front of the OSU coaches in their walk.

Well the football team must have gotten the wrong instructions because Scott, the event staff, and the fans were where we were instructed to be.
