This cat hasn't sniffed 20 in SEC play and lights our asses up. 7-10 & 7-11 from 3. Did Jans or someone from mittippi tate 17 this kids moms or something? or we just blow major *** defensively? Master of defense! The Dentist!

We are his highlight reel for 2 games because we are the worst in the SEC on 3 point defense. He can hit open shots all night. Has worked on it for years and years, nights, early mornings. But the harsh reality is that his career is soon over after this season. Hopefully he takes his graduate degree seriously or hopefully he enjoys playing basketball in Italy for $200K/year or stateside as a G league all star for $40K/year.

We keep giving up open threes. This is the result that Jans wants apparently. Open threes don't follow the percentage rules of contested threes.

He said it himself in the post game interview which I will paraphrase. He said MSU was a good team and played tough but their defense was a shooters dream come true. No vendetta, didn't 17 anyone's mom. We are just historically bad at guarding the three.

It's by design. We don't play any harder than other good teams. We don't do a great job of on ball defense. Guards get into the paint way too easily. We do sag in the lane and over-help. So we look really good against teams that don't shoot well.

It's why Jans was able to win at a lower level and win a few games in the tourney agains teams who shot poorly.

And a matchup Hubbard is just a dream for bigger SEC guards (almost everyone he's guarding at this point.)
