Relf benched for the last 3 series and on the last series we let the entire clock run out while saving all 3 timeouts. We were only down 2 scores and if we would have scored quickly still had a chance.
I know we had very little chance to win at the end, but what the 17 was Mullen doing not using timeouts and trying to score and do an onside kick? I understand that there is less than a 1% chance of scoring, getting the kick and scoring again, but why just completely give up?
Down by less than two scores. Had the ball on LSU's 44 yard line with 1:07 on the clock. And he doesn't use a single time out. That doesn't make sense. And I think Mullen is a hell of a coach.
