Not really. When I was younger I would get debilitating cramping from soda at times and some foods, but I cut back on soda and haven't noticed it in 15 years.
I've had some what i would call salt watery burning eye misting but it hasn't been chronic. I've noticed some mouth sores the past few days, but i chalked it up to dry mouth from being dehydrated.
No antibiotics.
Mouth sores are correlated with IBD, meaning if you have IBD, you're more likely to get mouth sores. Of course, many people with mouth sores *don't* have IBD, any many people with IBD don't have mouth sores. But they're more likely in people with IBD, especially UC if I remember correctly.
I asked about antibiotics because they increase the risk of a flareup of pre-existing IBD, and they can be the trigger that starts IBD in those who are genetically susceptible to developing it. They are also frequently given in ER/Urgent Care settings when a person presents with diarrhea, especially with blood, because it's usually assumed to be infectious colitis/enteritis. But if it's actually not infectious and is IBD instead, some antibiotics can make it worse.
The colonoscopy should tell you and the docs a lot. Keep us informed what they find.
Where are you located? Who is doing the scope (what doctor)?
