Well at least you have next spring to look forward to when Cohen starts raping and pillaging the league.

Not sure, but they do have a 4 game lead in the division with 21 games to play, and they have an 8 game lead on the 2nd place wild card team (Philadelphia), so they'll really have to work at it to miss the playoffs.

Right now, I'm more concerned with them getting on track in time for the playoffs. They're still in great shape to make the playoffs. It doesn't really matter how they get there, just that they do get there, and that they find their game in time for the playoffs.

That said, the problems this past week have been with the offense, not nearly as much with the pitching. That's the good news in my opinion. They have too many good hitters for the offense to stay cooled off. I know it's the cool thing to push the panic button as a Cubs fan, but I don't think it's quite time yet. I still think they win the division and come into the playoffs with home field advantage for the NL playoffs.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">It's not the cool thing...it is status quo for us lifers.</span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Truthfully, they were due for another bad streak. The Cubs had been playing really well on the road and at home over the past month or so and were due for a let down period. They better pull themselves out of this funk soon because the rest of their schedule is murder down the stretch. </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sat, Sep 6 @ Cincinnati </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sun, Sep 7 @ Cincinnati </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tue, Sep 9 @ St. Louis </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Wed, Sep 10 @ St. Louis </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Thu, Sep 11 @ St. Louis </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Fri, Sep 12 @ Houston </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sat, Sep 13 @ Houston </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sun, Sep 14 @ Houston </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tue, Sep 16 Milwaukee </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Wed, Sep 17 Milwaukee </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Thu, Sep 18 Milwaukee </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Fri, Sep 19 St. Louis </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sat, Sep 20 St. Louis </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sun, Sep 21 St. Louis </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Mon, Sep 22 @ NY Mets</span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tue, Sep 23 @ NY Mets </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Wed, Sep 24 @ NY Mets </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Thu, Sep 25 @ NY Mets </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Fri, Sep 26 @ Milwaukee </span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sat, Sep 27 @ Milwaukee</span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sun, Sep 28 @ Milwaukee</span> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <br style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="font-weight: bold;">If they take the division it won't be because they backed in.</span>
