Pardon me if I get frustrated with watching this conference make the EXACT same mistakes as the big East. 1)The Big East was a national power in football when it had Miami, VT, and even BC rolling. 2)The Big XII is a balanced conference. The Big East was at one time as well with equally great football and basketball. 3)Amen on ditching the catholic schools. But do you think Texas and Oklahoma are really any less a batch of drama queens than those guys? They feel it's their conference to do with as they please just like the catholic schools did the Big East. 4)The one true blessing about not going to the ACC is putting distance between WVU and anything ND related! 5)Really? Historically you are correct. But the Big East had some pretty dam good programs as well before their shortsightedness (ie. not adding members for a championship game) forced those programs to leave. 6)Can't argue with that! 7)They don't have to appease me. The playoff committee told them flat out that you are playing with the deck stacked against you. And we sit by and wait.........like we were gonna wait on the new Big East TV contract, like we were gonna wait for the rest of the conferences to realize the championship games weren't necessary, like we were gonna wait and see where the Big XII pieces landed when Texas and Oklahoma bolted, like we waited on ND to feel sorry for us and join the Big East to become a solid league again. If you can't tell waiting and hoping has proven once already not to be a good business model.
