to take BDW's spot for next year's BB team?

Huggs has stated he is going to continue the #pressvirginia style of play so what kind of player would you like to see come in and join the team?

IMO, we have every position addressed other than a legit rim protector. We have Watkins, which must be staying now despite KC's proclamation, but he hasn't shown the maturity or dedication yet to be that guy. Macon is long and has a great motor but no stamina, will he be better conditioned this up coming year? Everyone loves Williams and no one can question his toughness, heart, or ability, but a rim protector he is not. Same goes for Holton, he hustles, he is a garbage man, but again not big enough to be a rim protector plus he is the motor at the front of the press.

I think if Huggs and co. could find them a big long winged athlete 6-10 or better that would be ideal.

From what I have seen on twitter, they are looking for another 3 though. Esa can play 1-4 and I see a log jam at 1-2 and guys aren't going to be happy with minutes. Bringing in another 3 eats into those minutes as well.

PG next year will be by committee with Carter, Phillip, Bolden, Ahmad

SG is Carter, Miles, Paige, Meyers, Ahmad

SF is Ahmad, Adrian, Miles, Meyers

PF is Holton, Macon, Ahmad, Adrian,

PF is Williams, Watkins, Macon,

If we had a intimidating defensive presence at the back end of that press I foresee a team that would scare everyone and possibly challenge for a big12 championship and a deep run into the madness. *

* All of the above mentioned depends of someone stepping up and taking over the void in leadership that left with Staten and Brown. Team chemistry will be the great unknown going into next year.

I am glad Watkins is coming back. He had a bad break with mono and then an injury. He played well in spurts. Maybe the staff can het the light to come on fill time.

For me, the jury is still out on our shooting. Too streaky for my taste. Maybe Meyers is part of the answer?

So I would vote for either a big body or a consistent shooter for bdw's spot.

LGM!

From what I've seen and heard Bolden and Meyers can get their own shot whenever they want it.

Esa has old man style game, he's an elite passer, BB IQ off the charts and has a skill set we do not have on the team. His outside shot is streaky but he uses positioning inside like KJ used too. He is very efficient with his expending energy too. He will lay it up and make little bunnies instead of trying to power through people. That doesn't mean he cant throw down when he wants too but he's not the type to blast it home if it isnt the smartest play.

I think our shooting will be better next year and we will have weapons all over the court. Perfect recipe for a pressing team.

A wide body or scorer. What I would give to have someone that can shoot lights out.

We just need a contributor, I don't think the next guy needs to be a stud for this team to make significant noise next year. An elite center with NBA lottery pick upside is obviously a need, but somehow I don't think its likely.

Id like to get this guy for 2016. Rim protector and intimidation in the paint.

Impressive progress by Devin Williams would help a lot. He got better at using his body to get shots. He has to do that more often and make them more often. His size can be a major difference for WVU. The Mountaineers MUST improve their shooting percentage and keep their favorable turnover ratio.

Wing defense. Our weakness was Gary was too small and Adrian too slow to guard the 6'4-6'7 range B12 wing players.

We have the guard offense and the Devin/Macon paint presence. Our perimeter shooting will be fine with natural progression, the addition of Myers, and Adrian's wrist healed up. We need a guy who can guard out to the perimeter but rebound and body up in the paint in case Watkins doesn't make it back.

Just so happens that such a player is visiting today.

This team could be special if everything falls into place. That summer practice time is going to help us too.

Yes, but a Gourd and a Rout does not mean a West. I was wondering about Lamont. I thought he was visiting today.

He is.......... but at this point, you have to wonder if saving the 'ship for 2016 is the better move, considering we are getting a legit role player in Goard without awarding a scholarship........... and only having 2 scholarships in 2016 if we dish one out now.
