Well since I know Moultrie is going to test the draft without an agent, and we know Smith is gone, and that Sid is likely gone, here is where we stand on our roster assuming all of our current signees show up (and not including Gold Teamers)...<div>
</div><div>Point Guard</div><div>Josh Gray (6-1, 173, FR-HS, 3 Star Scout, 3 Star Rivals, 3 Star/91 ESPN)</div><div>P.J. Hardwick (5-10, 170, FR-HS, NR Scout, 3 Star Rivals, 2 Star/82 ESPN)</div><div>
</div><div>Shooting Guard</div><div>Jalen Steele (6-3, 194, JR, 8.7 ppg, 40% from three)</div><div>Craig Sword (6-3, 170, FR-HS, 3 Star Scout, 4 Star Rivals, 3 Star/91 ESPN)</div><div>Fred Thomas (6-4, 175, FR-HS, NR Scout, 3 Star Rivals, 4 Star/92 ESPN)</div><div>
</div><div>Wing</div><div>Rodney Hood (6-8, 204, SO, 10.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg)</div><div>Shaun Smith (6-6, 203, JR [RS?], No real stats last year)</div><div>Roquez Johnson (6-7, 204, SO [RS?], No real stats last year)</div><div>
</div><div>Power Forward</div><div>Wendell Lewis (6-9, 260, SR, 3.8 ppg, 4.0 rpg)</div><div>Kristers Zeidaks (6-8, 230, JR, Will sit out part of year)</div><div>
</div><div>Center</div><div>Gavin Ware (6-8, 230, FR-HS, 4 Star Scout, 4 Star Rivals, 3 Star/89 ESPN)</div><div>
</div><div>I will leave commenting to you guys. I think there is some talent here, but depth is a huge problem, especially down low where we will have 2 guys to start the season.</div>

off that list and hopefully add Pollard. That leaves 3 open spots for the new coach to fill. Assuming Moultrie, Gray and Hardwick are all gone.

Why are you automatically scratching Gray and Hardwick off the roster before we even hire a coach?

dropped us already or he atleast thinks he has and Hardwick sucks and we only signed him for Gray.

Gray asked for a release so he could look around in case he doesn't fit with the new coach. He has said he still might stay. I think its a much greater chance that our new coach is able to point to the roster and show him that he is the guy, rather than him going somewhere else.

And IF Gray leaves Hardwick would be our only remaining point guard on the roster. If Gray stays we still need a backup. I serioiusly doubt we would drop him regardless of what happens with Gray.

Moultrie can't test the waters...He already did that after he was leaving UTEP before he decided where he was transferring.

signed a letter of intent as well and has stated that he intends to attend MSU even after Stansbury retired. You have no idea what you are saying. And now that Deville is gone, Josh Gray and P.J are the only point guards on the roster. Josh will start as a freshman and P.J. will get minutes as a freshman backing him up. As long as we hire a coach that our signess will be good with, this class should stay intact because they will ALL get immediate playing time next year. From what I've seen of 4 of these guys, Sword and Gray would be a helluva backcourt tandem. I'm not to certain that Sword wouldn't be the starting 2 over Jalen and keep Jalen as the 6th man off the bench. Gray is a special player at the point. He can shoot it and handle it and get to the rim. Fred Thomas is scary athletic and can get a shot any time he wants it. The coaches will have to try to temper him down a bit or he could go Donte Jones on us(which isn't necessarily a bad thing). Ware likes to be physical which we haven't had in YEARSin the paint. This coaching hire needs to hurry the 17 up so we can try to keep all these guys and have them trying to woo Pollard into the fold. If we can keep these guys all signed, we will struggle next season, but look out in year 2 and beyond! There are some big if's in there, but those if's could easily come thru if we get the right coach in place. Stans is gone and we aren't in the best of shapes, but he did get us one helluva group of guys signed.

Is what we will go after down low with possibly no depth next year. We will potentially have three schollies free, if Pollard signs.

scholarships. Add Moultrie in there and that makes 12. God forbid add Sidney in there and there is the 13th. In a perfect world, Moultrie would come back, Pollard signs, current signees stay and the rest of the players stay.

PG: Gray and Hardwick
SG: Sword, Steele, Thomas
SF: Hood, Pollard,S. Smith, Johnson
PF: Moultrie, Zeidaks
C: Lewis and Ware

Starting 5 - Gray, Hood, Pollard, Moultrie, Zeidaks??? I'd like that. And have Sword, Steele, Thomas off the bench. Perfect world stuff here but we would have more options.

I think it would probably look more like Gray, Steele/Sword, Hood, Pollard Moultrie if we were to pull Pollard and keep Moultrie. If we dont get Pollard then probably Gray, Steele/Sword, Hood, Moultrie, Lewis. If Moultrie were to leave too then I think Hood would start at the 4. And I also believe its more likely Steele starts at the beginning with Sword backing him up and Thomas backing up at the 3. Rocquez is a 4, but will only play minutes when absolutely necessary.

Auburn!! Go find a wall to punch or something. For a big boy on this board you sure like to act like a baby a lot.
