We need to go 6-3 over the next 3 weekends. We have some series against Tennessee and Ole Miss, both in the bottom half of the conference, and a road series against Alabama, the SEC's worst team. It is not unrealistic that we could win all 3 series, although if we sweep one, we could absorb a series loss if we don't get swept. Going 7-2 or more would be gravy.<div>
</div><div>That would put us 11-13 with series against Florida and Kentucky to go. As long as we didn't get swept, we'd end up at least 13-17 and that would get us in. 12-18 might since we would be in Hoover, but we'd be on the bubble.</div>

Seems like our last few Saturday games at Dudy Noble have been our worst games, Arkansas and Vanderbilt. Beating Ole Miss twice in Starkville will do alot towards morale IMO.

Strictly from a rpi calculation standpoint, they may mean almost as much as the weekend games. In addition to those 2, we have Central Ark. and the 2 with Valley. Assuming we get those 3 and then at least split UM/USM, that gives us 25 wins with the other 15 conference games to consider. I really think we need to finish above .500 for those 15 games (8-7) to put us at 33-23. Win a game or 2 in Hoover and we are on the road somewhere, but that's all that matters. Winning both games at Trustmark Park the next 2 weeks would be really big. I kind of like our chances at that with our down the line pitching matchups, but it will be tough to win both. We probably have a better chance of winning those 2 than we do of finishing 8-7 in the final 15 SEC contests. Beating UM/USM both would give us a little extra breathing room in conference maybe.

13-17 is traditionally the cutoff point for SEC teams. 14 wins will almost always get you a regional. 13 sometimes will and sometimes won't. 12 or less and there's no chance.
