I doubt it ruins his legacy in the long term scheme, but even the hosts on talk radio are getting sick of having to talk about this guy.

of hearing about Favre on every sports program. It couldn't have happened at a worse time, either, with it being the most dead time on the sports calendar.

of hearing about Favre too. The guy needs to become a commentator or something. But I definitely got a laugh out of Marshall Ramsey's cartoon today dealing with retirement and Favre.

he retires again after this season. Does he mean it this time? Does he not? Who cares?

are gonna wind up booing him when he comes back there to play with another team, more than likely Tampa Bay. I'm bout sick of all the homers retiring & a few months later come out say : uh uh no I'm not. They just can't stand not seeing their name & face in the media.

they trade him to the Saints for Shockey or even Deuce. Let him be the clipboard man.

A Saints Favre jersey would be nice. This dream is over...forget about it.

and then he will continue the long, slow descent toward that special place where seemingly all once-hero-worshiped athletes who can't seem to understand that they are no longer relevant seem to gravitate: The Place of Meaningless Oblivion. In a few years, he'll make a cameo appearance in a Mike Meyers flick. There'll be a few failed opportunities in the Terry Bradshaw role, or behind the mic or on the sidelines. But eventually, Ol Brett will end up finally divorced, back on the sauce, and looking suspiciously like a slightly less addled Nick Nolte in his DUI mugshots.

There's still time for Favre to retire from the Bucs next February, then try to force his way to free agency by "unretiring" a couple of weeks before training camp next July.

I was insinuating it was Farve's dream to play for the Saints, since he would be so close to home.
