What will the SEC look like next year in basketball?

I know we could be anywhere from pretty good to absolutely awful. It almost looks like everyone will be in the same boat as us. UK will lose most of their starters. UT will lose Chism which is huge for them. LSU will lost the only guy they had worth a crap. Same with South Carolina and Auburn.
I am guessing Vandy, Ole Miss (if T. White stays), and Florida will be picked among the top.

you can throw Florida in there with Vandy as well. Kentucky is Kentucky, they will simply re-load, but they certainly won't be what they were this year with Wall, Bledsoe, Cousins, and Patterson. OM will be picked to win the west, assuming everyone stays. Auburn (loses a lot of seniors), Alabama (loses Torrence and Brock), and LSU (loses Tasmin Mitchell finally) all three of those teams will struggle. Arkansas is always an interesting team in the offseason. Arkansas does lose Washington and Walsh, and who knows if they will have any other losses such as transfers. The West will certainly be down yet again next year. Georiga will improved I think even though they lose McPhee and Thompson. South Carolina will struggle because of the loss of Downey. Tennessee seems like the most interesting team during the offseason due to the fact that they lose J.P. Prince, Chism, and Maze. I have no idea who all they have coming in, but I'm sure their talent level will be just fine.

They do lose Beal which will hurt, but I gurantee that the freshman this year John Jenkins will pick up some of those missed points next year. That guy can flat out shoot it.

I think Polyniece is as good as gone, and White may well bolt if he performs well in the Garden. I don't think it would be a wise move on his part, but that didn't stop Snead. D. Riley will probably be gone, but he never got significant minutes anyway. I'm hoping that Warren and White can be convinced to coexist for one more year, but I'm not optimistic.

I don't see that as too much of a loss, especailly with the Indiana transfer able to play next year. And as a State fan I certainly do hope that White will see the light and head for the NBA.

and will repeat the same for this season- the West is going to be between State, Mississippi, and UPig.

UPig should have Fortson the entire season next year and don't they get Sanchez back after he missed almost all this past season? That to go with Clark and Powell...plus they signed Marvell Waithe from juco and Madracus Wade from Hargrave...Pelphrey needs to get it together or this season may be his last

Mississippi shouldnt have anybody leave early, they aren't good enough to go anywhere. Kennedy needs a post player badly

We will have all 5 starters trying to shoot 3's next year...the lane will be wide open

Not sure what Bammer is bringing in, but they need a good recruiting class to go with Hillman and Green

LSU and Auburn have a long way to go

There will be a hugegap between Auburn, Alabama, LSU and us, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. Kentucky will probably dominate the east again even with the losses of Wall, Cousins, and Patterson.</p>

Wall ,Cousins, and Patterson will be lottery picks. ESPN has Bledsoe rated as the 14th best NBA prospect and Orton at 27.

I know they'll bring in some talented players next year, but I don't think they can match the freshman they had this year. This class ranks right there with the Fab 5.

but I wouldn't callit phenomenal. Like I've said before, 2 of the 4 are from Jackson and Im not sure Kennedy/Stans put the press on them.

It is hard to see how they will be worse than they were this year

It is very dangerous to count on freshmen. I also don't see anyone they bring in being better than Tasmin Mitchell. The other guys on that team absolutely sucked.
I think Georgia might be a team to watch. They were right there this year and lost a bunch of close games. Arkansas may be tough if Powell continues to improve but they had Fortson for the entire SEC season and still were not very goodl

I'm not saying he's great, but he's a decent post presence with SEC experience. I agree with you on their freshmens.

Setting up to be a worse overall SEC next year, which will give us a chance. I don't see why Bledsoe is rated that high, but I think Orton can be a stud. Orton could come back and be the man though, so that could really improve his stock.

I doubt Orton leaves until he starts for a year. If they keep those two, they should not have much trouble with the East.
