What will we be ranked tomorrow, and where will Joe Lunardi have us seeded

I think Lunardi will have us as a 7 or 8, probably an 8.....and 16 will be our highest ranking in any poll.

that Lunardi will have us underseeded as to where we should be now but close to where we will end up.

I also predict that you will lead SPS in number of threads started.

Or shall I say, Douche. I'm bored and I am much more interested in our basketball team right now than I am Joe Montana vs Dan Marino.

Most of the threads you have started were pretty decent. I just noticed you had been starting a bunch. However, I'd be interested to see your actual input on these threads rather than just questions.

ETA: I agree with you on the basketball vs. Joe Montana threads. Steve Young is who I remember rooting for with the niners.

It's the week of reckoning for Kentucky. If they make it through this week unbeaten, they'll be a shoe-in as regular season SEC champ(not that anyone is really questioning that outcome anyway). Florida @ Kentucky, Kentucky @ Vandy. We NEED to win both of our home games this week, and it would be nice(and unexpected) to actually blow a couple teams out at home. IF we are to be a sweet-16 team, there is no excuse to lose ANY of the next 4 games....

My guess... Lunardi has us as an 8 again... Jerry Palm and Warren Nolan have us as a 6... We'll likely be overrated again @ #16-#18 in both polls...although I haven't seen anything other than the Vandy game for a month that makes me believe we deserve to be ranked this highly...

In this case, I think we are overrated but capable of living up to our ranking. If we have ever needed to start a run, it's these next 4 games. Finishing these next 4 plus Kentucky with a 3-2 record would be a win in my book, 4-1 a miracle. The bad thing is, we could legitimately go anywhere from 1-4 to 5-0 (I don't see any chance of UGA beating us at home). And while I think we are overrated, our record is what the tournament committee and Lunardi has got to go by, but Lunardi is completely overlooking us and underseeding us. Apparently he is remembering our underachievement in recent years and holding it against us or predicting our collapse. That's my input.

88 points to a bad Auburn team and needed a ridiculous 60% shooting to win. They only had 3 17ing turnovers! Ouch!! We shouldn't move any spots for that stellar defensive performance.* On a different note I was surprised to see Bryant's line. 9 assists and zero turnovers!! That's strong. He might look like Joakim Noah with his shooting stroke but I don't care with a 9-0 assist to turnover margin. Glad to see Shaun Smith produce some too. He actually made a 3-pointer!!

but I'll be honest, I haven't looked at Bracketology ONCE this year.

I do know that we better go 3-1 these next two weeks if we want to make our case for better seeding. I think the only game we can afford to lose will be LSU... the others, we better take control of and win (I really don't care how we do it).

They were gashing the lane at will on us and we couldn't stop it in man to man. I know Stans hates zone, but damn... after giving up more points in the first half than Vandy did the entire game to them, along with them getting into the paint at will, you'd think someone would say "Hey, we need to stop them from getting in the paint." I know Auburn is a bad team, but give them what they want, and they are confident they can do anything on you... which they did.

Our SOS continues to fall which should help. It was in the mid 70's last week, now it's at 66. I would love to get it under 50, and I think we can do that with games against UK, @Bama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas left on the schedule. The RPI is currently at 34, and we still don't have any bad losses, so if we can take care of business and only lose 2 more regular season games, I think we can get a 5 seed.

Kansas would kill us. We would be much better at the 5 playing Indiana for the Sweet16.

I've been saying all along that we've GOT to get to a 5-seed to have a good shot at making a legitimate run to the sweet16. Cards could fall correctly for us regardless of seeding, but a #5 vs #4 just sets up ALOT easier. I'd like our chances against Indiana, Wisconsin, UNLV, and Florida State. Not as much against Florida, Michigan, Georgetown, or Kansas...

to be in the Phoenix region as the 4 seed. Win the first game to possibly play USM whose the 5. Beat them to rematch vs Baylor the 1. I think we win all 3 of those to set up a match up vs Duke to get into the final four.

I'd say a 7 is their ceiling. Unless they run the table. Which is possible, I guess. But that includes winning the CUSA tourney.

the **** out of you on our side of the bracket....and at the same time
feel like Washington could beat us in the first round.
I really hope
that luck is on our side this year and we hit our stride in March and
make a run. You never know...and we're due to have a team actually play
to their potential in a NCAA tournament.

A great way to keep up with what all the "experts" have us seeded at is with the Bracket Project. They take 61 different publications and average all the seeds for all the teams. It's a pretty good representation of how the country views every team. They update it daily, so it is current to the latest projections from each different publication.<div>

We are projected anywhere from a #5 seed to a #11 seed. This **** has obviously gotten way too complicated if they can't narrow it down better than that. Maybe we should let David Hartman project the field of 64, he is about that accurate too.
