What will you do if we lose to Louisiana Tech?

and don't give me this **** about it's only football, it doesn't matter, I expected it, we're Mississippi State. Everybody on this board is here because they care about it. That said, how will it affect the next couple of days after?

It will ruin my weekend. And there's a good slate of games on TV from Thurs. to Mon. night. An Alabama/Ole Miss loss will temper my anger a little, but I don't really give a **** about them. I want to win and keep our recruits. I also have a Tech grad that works with me. I don't really want to think about it.

and then be pissed about it on Sunday. Won't read the papers or anything. On Monday, I will be over it but my football season will be ruined and then by Thursday, I will be playing the what if game for the rest of the season.

Saban on his damn internet camera talking soothingly to Fletcher Cox about the state of the Mississippi State football program at that moment. I will then take mental notes of the other recruits who will immediately re-open recruitment.

I will then piss my wife off because I will be mad about a "stupid football game", ruin my weekend and probably sulk around for a few days.

I have to imagine this is the only sports message board around planning ahead in case we lose to a La Tech type team. WE ARE MISS. STATE.

I will be pissed, but first I will be pissed at LT for scheduling such a ridiculous game, probably send Coach a hollow Internet threat on his PM, and rant on sixpack and think "I would be getting banned on GP for typing this". I would also be pissed at Croom for not recruiting better WR's, and go off on whoever else on the team was responsible for the loss.

My MSU football season would be ruined, although that is kind of strong to say because it certainly could be salvaged- for example we lost to La Tech in 96, but beat Bama and Ole Miss. I would still look forward to going to UT and GT as far as those games being road trips.

I would be depressed and pray that Croom gets fired and McCorvey gets arrested and gets sent to Parchman for being so damn terrible. I'm getting pissed just thinking about this.

Coach34, and I'll add the obligatory "s" to Croom's name. And I'll try to get into pro football, but I won't really be able to. And I'll go to all the games just to get out of the house, but I'll be disgusted the rest of the year.

we actually have an AD that has the balls to fire Croom. And the Polk fiasco may have prepared him a little for Jesse and Al.

we are playing them on the road. We wouldn't even be thinking about this **** if it wasn't the game of the century for them at their place.

It's that we're playing them on the road, the FIRST game of the season. If this was any other game besides the FIRST game of the season, I wouldn't be too worried. Unfortunately, this game now has upset written all over it. Thanks LT. Thanks a whole *+##$@+ lot.

I will contemplate shooting myself, then I will avoid getting on the internet and watching sports shows so I don't have to see highlights or read articles about the game b/c it will make me wanna throw up.

I'm not even thinking about it. We are talking about a team that went in and got shut out at Ole Miss last year and have already lost a couple of their better defensive players to academics. We definitely could "State" it up, but I just don't see it happening. But seeing that I will be at Orange Beach that weekend it will probably take a long walk on the beach to cool me down if it does happen</p>

going to have all these reactions based on your theory that we are going to blow them out. I think we will win, but I think it will be a close game. So, if we lose said close game, I shake my head, think "it figures," and go on about my business.

I HATE unmet expectations. Hate.

Well, my optimism has gotten to the point that I wear MSU garb out in public again. IF we lose, the shirts go back in the bottom of the drawer. Because, frankly, I hate it when other school's fans try to talk to me about State sports after a loss when they see my shirt or hat. However, I will be bitching about it on SPS. </p>

I would probably wind up in jail in Ruston. My wife would be so mad at me she would probably leave me in there.

I fully expect us to give them hell defensively, even scoring a defensive TD. The offense will blow up and down the field for 291 yards of offense, kick 4 FG's, and we will post a convincing 19-7 win to start the year in Ruston.

I've been watching this **** too long. No real MSU fan can say that they haven't considered the possibility. Even cowbell9.</p>

I will be at the game, so tune in to CNN and Fox News. I would be the guy in the bell tower going postal.

First I would cry. Then go to my hotel in Shreveport and take shots of Captain. After that I would lose all my money to Roulette table. Losses like this would make me turn to Alcohol and Gambling.

Why the $!!# are we playing these guys at their place? I would rather play an Arkansas State or Jacksonville at our place than go to Rustin (********) Louisiana. This could easily be upset city. I can compare this to going and playing Southern at their ******** stadium down in Hattiesburg. Why dould we ever play a crap school like Southern or Teck at their place.

Wait, that's not right. Sounds good though. It's MSU football, so it doesn't matter, we'll just have to wait another year for the promised land. Hell, 100 years and counting what's a few more. No puke left, did that already for State football.... I'm babbling now......................

I wouldn't be shocked if it happened, after all, we are MMMMMSTATE. It seems inevitable since everything is going right with the bowl win and recruiting.

That being said, I'll be pissed for a couple of days, cuss and break something, swear off watching State, the wife will leave me alone, and then by the next weekend I'll do it all over again.

how fans of other schools all of a sudden want to hang out with you after you've been embarassed. I don't go looking for Bama fans after they lose to ULM.
