What would McCluster look like in Dan Mullen's offense?

Just wondering how you think Mullen would use him? Not bashing Nutt....okay, yeah I am. Or Kent Austin. McCluster AND Dixon in the same backfield....wow.

but McCluster is better. Now one is a senior and one is a true freshman, and that clearly matters, but McCluster is a very talented football player, and a threat to score every time he gets the ball. Bumphis isn't at that level yet.

With 3 games remaining, Bumphis has already done more than McCluster did his entire freshman year.

is what makes him so tough to tackle. Not sure Bumpis will ever have that, but very well could have better stats.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, with, Dixon and McCluster, we only have 1 or 2 loses. But, he plays for the other school and it is what it is.

You think McCluster makes that much of a difference? Bit of a reach, wouldn't ya say?

right on top of the crown of the helmet. He's lucky he's not hurt worse than he was.

Yea, that was also an illegal hit that hurt him, that somehow went uncalled by SEC officials. Amazing I know.

I don't get the talk about McCluster being fragile. He carries the ball quite a bit, and he's really only had one injury that happened when he was a true freshman. Orgeron tried to bring him back too quick and he re-injured the same spot. Other than that, he's been very durable.

I'll put it this way, he's been a whole lot more durable than his best friend, 6-5, 270 lb Greg Hardy. Some players are injury prone. McCluster isn't one of them.

Depends on if you are comparing apples to apples.

Dexter got injured early in his 6th game as a freshman and didn't return.

Through 5 games as a freshman, Dex gave us about 103 yards per game and had 1 TD.

In Bumphis's first 5 games, he gave yall about 51 yards per game and 3 TDs.

Bumphis is a special player. Dexter is a special player.

It also appeared the Auburn defender taunted McCluster while he was laid out on the ground. They didn't show the replay and I don't have a DVR, but I remember seeing the defender jumping up and flashing some sort of hand sign towards McCluster. You could tell his helmet was pointed straight at McCluster and he was yelling something while motioning with his hands. I doubt he was apologizing for the shady tackle.

I can understand missing an illegal tackle since you have to make that call at full speed. But, you have to flag a guy for taunting. It's not hard to spot when it happens next to the ball after the play is dead.

I said I would go out on a limb, but the only games the other school won is when McCluster has a lot of touches, with his elusiveness and Dixon's pounding the ball in the backfield, McCluster would be a factor, he has the speed that Dan is looking for, Dixon is a beast, but he gets caught from behind, I haven't seen McCluster get from behind many times at all. Yes, I think if he was here we beat LSU, Houston, possibly GT. He gives you that extra umph that we need right now since we dont have a sec caliber qb, we could run him in the wild dawg.
