What would you like to see next year as far as staff changes

Let's be civil. I think we can all agree on a sp coach. I'd like to see a new Oc, just don't know if dans ready to let les go. It's obvious dan does a lot of good. I think he's strengths are he's good at evaluating talent and getting the most out of the talent. Seems to elevate their talent also. He's weaknesses are in game adjustments. I'd like to see a young creative mind. Keep the whole defensive staff. I think even keep les just put him in some other kind of position or have a co Oc. If we can get that, I believe we can finally have a year when both sides of the ball is clicking at the same time. That happens I feel like we could be in for a magical season. I'm talking ranked top 10 in country, even challenge bama for the west. And keep the staff together for 10 years. Build that foundation like bama has. Go to 20 bowls in a row and of course own tsun for 20 in a row also.

Special Teams, obviously

That alone would be enough for me. The offense, while infuriating at times, does enough and will get better next year. The defense is young and really stepped it up the last three weeks. Special teams are our Achilles heel and they must fixed or it'll end up costing us like it did at Auburn and nearly did at Arkansas and yesterday against UM.

I'd like a new OL coach. Probably won't happen, but him and Les are the weakest links. I think it would be fairly easy to find a OC or a OL coach that could coach SP teams too, especially considering the OC at MSU doesn't call plays.

The reason I say top 10 is because are defense is gonna be crazy good. That in itself will keep you in every game. Remember defense wins championships. I honestly think we can have a defense just as good as Alabama and lsu. If we had a offense this year we probably win 2-3 more games. I'd love to find another Chris jones type somewhere but they are very rare.

Think you need to go back to Genespage. We won't be as good as Bama or LSU on D until we recruit better on D. We have a lot of high 3 and 4 star level talent with a few 5s scattered, but Bama and LSU are made up of all high 4 and 5 star players, with the occasional 3 star that they evaluated and took.

These recruiting services and I don't mean rivals and scout, but the ones that put recruits with schools and get their highlights to coaches go off of the major recruiting websites. That's why the higher rated recruits according to Rivals and Scout go to big name schools and it seems they only get ESPN300 guys. We get a lot of guys that are capable of being ESPN300 as well. A lot of the ranking outside of the top 5-8 classes is all about evaluation by coaches. Top 5-8 classes are elite. 9-30 are about the same with some being better than others. There's about 30-60 that are ranked about the same as mid level talent. Then you got 61-120s that is all below average to well below average talent.

As Doc

stated, you kinda went off the reservation towards the end there. However, to answer your question we've got to #1 get a ST coach. To be in the SEC and not have a kicker you feel comfortable with anything outside of 35 is just plain pathetic. That's a joke.

Special teams coach. Everything else is alright I believe. Our offense was pretty young if you consider all of the young WR's and RB's that we have. I think special teams has to be top priority.

Did we have a bunch of 5 star players when joe lee Dunn was here? Hell no, but I believe we had one of the nastiest defenses in the league. I don't put too much in the ratings. Heck look at Chris jones. I can't remember exactly everything but nobody knew about him and wasn't rated high. Even when we offered. Thing is I believe Mullen does have a good eye for talent. We develope pretty decent. But if you want to be a douche and tell people to go somewhere because they get a little optimistic about our team then you can go **** yourself. Take your *** to genes page puss

And hate to tell you. I think we competed pretty damn good with Alabama THIS year. We were never really dominated by anyone this year. Get the offense going better we win 2-3 more games THIS year. We are not that far off. So go be one of those "oh poor me" fellas somewhere else

And how many years did we have that nasty defense? Be realistic man. Our defense is not gonna be Bama good. This is why you wanted Mullen fired, you have unrealistic expectations

Back to Genespage? Is that where you've been the past few weeks?** Nobody's played better D in the SEC than State these last three weeks. I watched UPigg move the ball pretty well yesterday on that immaculate LSU D. I expect the same for Auburn tomorrow on the Bama D.

A good coach can overcome deficiencies in talent. If that weren't so, then there wouldn't be upsets in CFB.

Our offense set all kind of yards & scoring records, Les should be left alone. If anyone needs to go it should be OL coach (but he's Mullen's boy).

Here's how your boy's offense stacked up:
57th in total offense (35 more ypg than 2012).
86th in scoring offense (DOWN 3 ppg from 2012)
85th in 3rd down conv. % (5% rise from 2012)

Our increases didn't keep up with the rest of the conference and the nation. Sorry but State's got to have someone who knows something about a passing game to balance the running attack. Les completely mishandled State's running game and running backs. State's best looking passer is a true freshman. He has not done anything demonstratively to improve the play of State's QBs.

The OL actually played decent starting in the USCe game, especially considering they were playing a walk-on and true freshman at RG.

Yeah I know that, the point was coach has a eye for finding gems. Before he was getting all the attention coach already offered. Look at banks, he was a what 2-3 star?

Add a coach that knows the rules (substitutions and jersey #'s) and anyone that actually watches the game from a real time display (review fumbles).

Adding a new holder, FG kicker, and punter will make your new ST's coach look great.

Priority of replacements:
1. Brxxxy
2. Special teams
3. Les

I know some say Dan runs the offense, but he really needs someone else running it who has a philosophy like his own. Les doesn't have that.
