Cowbell Tolls had a good article comparing our situation to that of Indiana's a few years ago. In summary, they had a new staff and 2 walkons in 2008. We have a new staff, 5 scholarships and 2 walkons. It took Indiana 4 years to have a winning record and make thetournament. Given Indiana's obvious basketball pedigree, how long will it take MSU to recover and return to the tournament?

For those of you that put 2 or 3 years, whats the thinking behind that considering it took Indiana 4 years? You thinking our current recruiting class, plus some Kentuckyess class gets us back, or should I have included ** with those choices..

this coming season

I say I expect it every year. But the guy has 3 seasons in my opinion to make us competitive.Whatever that entails to me is fine. I wont put levels of the tournament on him. But our team had better show some unity, and some hustle. The ones who dont earn their scholarship need to be yesterdays news.

He does that and he'll make the tournament when we damn well deserve it.

I am optimistic about our chances 3 years from now. Ray wants a motion offense and man-to-man defense, the same sets that Stansbury averaged 20+ wins/season with. If this staff can run these sets with more discipline and preparation than Stansbury, all he needs is hustle/effort players to bring us back in contention.
