"Here's the problem in a nutshell: President Trump thinks the media are out to destroy him. The media think they're holding him accountable. Neither Trump nor the media can tell the difference between these two things."

If you've read my posts, you know that I am not a Trump fan (I do like most of his policies), however, there is no doubt that many, many in the hard news business (main stream media) want to take him down. I think he has very good reason not to trust them.
If I were him, I would continue to try and neuter them by frequently citing their bias and corruption. They won't change even if he treats them nicely. He has to discredit them (which they in many cases deserve).
Personally, I believe the constant protests and riots of the left will simply wear thin on average Americans. It will turn them off. If Trump gets some significant wins (accomplishments) and the economy improves, he will have almost all the leverage. But he has to deliver.
The most recent example is the hysteria over his 90 day travel ban. Obama named the 7 most dangerous, terrorist filled countries in the world. There is no functioning government in any of these countries, except for Iraq. We can't possibly vet them with no credible government source to verify who they are, what they do, their arrest record, their social media accounts, etc. So Trump initiates the 90 ban to determine and reexamine our vetting procedures.
Perfectly reasonable. Yet, the libs and the media go wild. Lying that it is a Muslim ban, when it is clearly not. Lying that we want to keep out immigrants. The good news is the polls show the American people get it. Most support the temporary halt.
Trump is going to have to do a much better job of first explaining his actions, the reasons for his actions and have a much better, more coordinated roll out. If he does, he can get the American people behind him.
