The Bulldogs will have a practice at the stadium at 6:00 Thursday, followed by a Home Run Derby contest sponsored by Whataburger. Powers and Ryan Duffy will represent State.

Whataburger Classic notes. It could mess up Powers' swing but maybe help Duffy's.

Yeah, I thought the same thing about Powers when I heard this last night. Not a fan of this.

but Conner has done this before- I think he won the Cape Cod League HR derby or at least participated in it, so that will help him with keeping his swing- hopefully.
