I was told today that the IHL decided that MSU didn't need a nursing school. I guess right now isn't a great time for school expansion or whatever, but does anyone have more insight?

I thought it would be a good move for both if they merged.

however, the two schools will be working together. one scenario Keenum talked about was a knew "joint degree" program called culinology.. which is a mix between culinary arts from the W and food science program at MSU. At the time of graduation, the student decides which school he wants to be awarded a degree from. they're looking in to a similar situation in other programs as well.

sounds weird, but thats from Keenum at the Memphis alumni gathering a few months ago.

They have merged the administrative IT departments of both schools. I think MUW needed the upgrade and this was the cheapest way to handle it.
