This board likes to celebrate wyvern as some sort of hero or something. Wyvern aint no hero. My sources at UK tell me that he is Diallo's agent. And signing with wyvern is why Diallo is going straight to the 2017 draft and not playing for the Cats.

Hero? I think not. Wake up, BBN!!!

oh wow - hello!!
missed this one last night - didn't want to be rude and not say hello though

Since you asked - here are some things I'm doing:

  • resigned ~ 2 weeks ago from the aerospace industry (we made XXXXXREDACTEDXXXXX...I left voluntarily XXXXXREDACTEDXXXXX)
  • actively interviewing with a firm that may result in a move to Knoxville, TN (all I'll say about that for now) - will know a lot more next week though.
  • still learning to XXXXXREDACTEDXXXXX....speaking of.....
I have been advised by one or two XXXXXREDACTEDXXXXX that ... my head" ....is a healthy thing overall

(some say XXXXXREDACTEDXXXXX.....I'll just leave that one alone for now)

  • Spent a year 1/2 learning to speak Russian (audio lessons + we had Ukrainian engineer at work who helped a great deal)
  • I spent at least 20 straight years of reading history book after history book and a lot of classic literature - then abruptly stopped the intake after finishing the "Gulag Archipelago" - soon after the Trump election (which shocked me) - I started a blog to try and better define what I believe it happening politically and culturally in the U.S. - i.e. a Slow Motion Revolution that seems to have just taken an abrupt 90 degree turn or something....
  • I think I've developed a way to accurately predict the UK basketball team's NCAA tourney results within one round of accuracy - more on that:
  • This is based on the Issac Asimov "Foundation" series from way back in the day....he had a character named "Hari Seldon" (who was really an android named Giscard if I recall correctly...) who invented PSYCHO-HISTORY....this was a method to look at large populations of people and predict their future behavior
  • The idea was that individuals are unpredictable but when people act out in large groups - they're mostly predictable or VERY predictable ....
  • So......I guess in my free time I'm trying to unravel a pseudo-science which is mentioned in a fantasy novel and was developed by a fictional man who was really an android......that keeps me awake some nights
  • I'm reading a history of the Blue Oyster Cult and have found similar themes buried in the work from the 70's......you'd be surprised
Right now....I'm supposed to be changing strings on my '65 (Reissue) Strat and getting ready to go play music,....but I'm trying away on here while no one is looking....and REALLY wanting more coffee

Finally -- i'm giving myself psycho-therapy because I don't trust anyone else
Results are unclear at this time

Sorry I asked....;)

Seriously, Knoxville area is really nice and beautiful. They have it all, mountains, lakes, rivers, nice city. Of course, it's close to home...Middlesboro.

Good luck....

Way to take a stand there.

I know....I know....I knew how it would sound when I posted it, Shaker

I think this team bows out in the Sweet 16 this year inexplicably (front line four trouble - shots not falling + facing a team with chemistry that's just popping.......well, I guess that's not truly INEXPLICABLE)

If it were up to me -- I'd have them beating the following teams en route to the next title, sir:

1) Middle TN State
2) Georgia Tech (YES, because of the bowl game....)
3) Indiana (was at the top of rivals when I was a kid - I'd love to wreck their little puckered arses this season -- wouldn't you?)
4) Duke (because)
5) Georgetown (this is for 1984, asshats(
6) UICLA (who else? at least this year)

Notice there's no UL here
Because in this fantasy season - they've been caught cheating with the CHICOMS and also caught red handed trying to revive the Warsaw pact

Death penalty for 2 seasons is announced the week after we win the titty

The real question is what are you plugging that strat into?

(I picture something made by Doc Brown)

oh man

that's a partially sensitive topic

I own a Fender Frontman - first Fender amp I've ever bought
First non Marshall amp in something like 20 years
I really like it

HOWEVER I should have bought a *&@@@!! tube amp
I was so excited about catching Musicians Friend in an error with one of their mag's (they had misprinted the price at something like $45 cheaper than it was supposed to be -- then had to honor it) -- that I overlooked that fact that I ultimately should have gotten a smaller / tube amp

Any who

with the band I play with I play through an Egnator head and a Fender cab
So I DO get tubes there -- it's a Frankenstein set up but sounds good

I've been working hard to get out of the muscle memory thing and focus on fundamentals again
I've been playing 30 years --- how about you?

Since I was 16 so 30 years for me too. I've got several amps both tube and non, but my main amp (and latest acquisition) is a Fender 68 Vibrolux Custom.

I've played a few different Egnators. They sound good.

None of the above is true. I have it on good authority that he was abducted by a large flying Dragon Lady or Rosie O'donnell. My sources were not completely sure since it is hard to tell the difference.
