I would always enjoy watching the #1 team in the nation play in Starkville if it was LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, etc because I like to watch good teams play even if it meant a blow out.

But this time - the #1 team I get to watch is our very own. Just amazing to me.

So we wont be reminded 30 times

of the last time Arkansas knocked off a #1 on the road?

Crap!

It's cool that if we get past Arky we are likely to have a 10-win season, which I think we've only done once. Even without the #1 ranking and playoffs and stuff that's pretty cool. If Dak and Josh hang around we'll have a really good chance to duplicate it next year also.

Twice, but never in just the regular season.

We finished 10-0-1 in 1940 after an Orange Bowl victory, and 10-2 in '99 after winning the Peach Bowl.

I am a Hogs fan (and no, I don't live in Arkansas, so save the typical redneck jokes), and I do want my Hogs to have the upset game of the year.

That being said, I love the fact that the traditional powers of the SEC (especially in the SEC West) have been subpar. I'm even happier that the two big schools in MS have done as well as they did (though Old Missus should've never laid that egg against LSU).

Win or lose this Saturday, I hope you guys run the rest of the gauntlet, come to my hometown for the SEC CG, handle your business and then get to the Playoffs and handle your things there.

Y'all are incredibly overdue for a SEC Championship and a Natty. Here's hoping this is the year y'all make this happen! I can say, outside of this game, many Hog fans are pulling for MSU, big time.

I predicted before the season that Arkansas would have a say in the SEC West this year, but hopefully it won't be this particular weekend.

^^ for this very reason, I almost drove to Lexington last week. We are taking the field as the #1 team in the land.

Hope that feeling continues.

For me it's a night game, a decent visiting team, a neat expansion, and 3 weeks as the number one ranked team in the country. Amazing to me too.

Plus, I don't have the older guy with the walnut-sized bladder climbing over me 6-8 times a game since I moved our seats......
