For me, it's been Kelley Jones at CB. The way he played vs Arizona State was down right legendary.

Same. Corners. Look good physically, tall and lanky, and actual coverage.
Brenen Thompson. Usually when State fans hype up a guy for his speed it's nothing special. This guy truly has take the top off the defense speed.
It’s our secondary in general. They may get roasted by certain SEC QB’s but they were viewed as one of the weakest links on the team going into the year and they’ve done a very nice job so far.
Agree on secondary. Honorable mention for Kamario Taylor. I’ve seen dozens of new QBs our fans hype as the next greatest ever Turin out to be busts. It’s early, small sample size & questionable opponents. But he looks good.

It’s definitely secondary for me. If Whitson would have continued his level of play against SEC schools he was in the discussion as well.

No, but that's because pitchers are people.
I think Shapen. He has stayed healthy and has shown what we thought he was going to be when he arrived. Many, many times at State, that hasn't been the case.
Gotta be him or Thompson. The kicker is a weapon. 43 was the obvious any before the injury

With Witson healthy it would be him. Dline was awesome when he played. Kelly Jones is the answer. Really impressive the jump he’s made.
One that hasn't been mentioned: I had given up on Kalvin Dinkins ever being a big time player here and he was outstanding against ASU.
