is that the series loss to the Celtics could have been the last game for Shaq. My favorite NBA player ever.

It'll be interesting to see if he keeps playing or not. It would take the right situation, with a team that is a contender who needs him to play a role as a defender of big time post players.

I wonder how he thinks Kobe's *** tastes now?

Seriously though, Shaq was a good guy for the NBA and it will be a long...long...time before we see another player like him.

You do realize that Kobe's team is in the Finals while Shaq's just fired their coach and his superstar that he has to have to win a title is out looking for a new home?

And you realize he's closing in on 40 years old right?

Also, name me a team that wins an NBA title with one superstar. Shaq relied on Kobe as much as Kobe relied on Shaq. Just like Wade and Shaq, just like Kobe and Pau.

Either way, who cares. Shaq is one of (if not the best) centers of all time. Kobe is one of the greatest players of all time, and I would not be surprised if he finishes with around 8 titles. I honestly believe when he's done, the Kobe or Jordan argument will be a toss up. He's that damn good. We've also been fortunate enough to see one of the best forwards in history win four titles, but he's a whiny ***** so I won't give him that much credit.

Just imagine how many titles Kobe and Shaq would have had they stayed together. I understand that every superstar needs a wingman to compete for a title and as good as Gasol is he is not in the same league asD-Wade was for Shaq. Didn't Wade win the either the regular season or playoff MVP that year?

Here is one name: Olajuwon. I honestly can't name another player on those Houston Rocket teams that won back to back titles(and yes I realize Jordan was "retired" those years).

Sam Cassell too. They had some talent. Too bad they traded all that talent away to get Barkley.

/the uniform change was the nail in the coffin. how can you win wearing these?
//damn, i had blocked out the pippen memories.

Those are the worst uniforms in history. I don't know how I forgot about Barkley and Pippen going to Houston but they were not on the title teams.

Olajuwon won his first title without the help of another All-Star. Otis Thorpe was the team's second leading scorer (I think), but he was no all-star. That team was truly Olajuwon's team - and he delivered.

They beat Patrick Ewing's Knicks team that featured 3 all-stars - Ewing, Oakley, and Starks.
