Might also ask, what is going on at Lee-Davis? They should be 5-0 when they begin to face the meet of their schedule.
CRF4Dan - Can they go 7-3, 8-2??? I heard the QB play was solid and they have pretty good running back. Is Atlee the best team in Hanover?
I heard last night on the radio Coach Criz reference the fact that some of the turnaround at Lee-Davis is attributed to having a full-year under Coach Turnage which I agree that does help. It also helps that their quarterback, Mummau is healthy, that wasn't the case last year. Also keep in mind, the Confederates had a ton of experience coming back so there was no where for them to go but up. That said, I did not expect them to come out to this hot of a start. I still must reserve judgement until Oct. 9th, that's when they play Atlee. Lee-Davis is 4-0 but their opponents are a combined 3-13 so let's see how they do against one of the better teams in the district and region. After this week they should be 5-0 which would put them right there in a great spot to take a playoff spot. After Armstrong they still must face Atlee, Hanover, Henrico, Highland Springs and Patrick Henry. That's a tall order for anyone. Going 6-4 or 7-3 is more realistic, 8-2 might be a long shot but I think we will know more after October 9th.
As far as if Atlee is the best team in Hanover? I think that coincides with their Oct. 9th meeting with Lee-Davis. Atlee has the win against Hanover and Patrick Henry I will believe will give them a fit but I expect the Raiders to take that one. The Oct. 9th meeting of Atlee & Lee-Davis should be as entertaining as last nights game between Atlee and Hanover.
