What's Hudspeth's relationship/contacts with Tubs?

I.E. why would he pick Hudspeth?

If true, I'm envisioning 4 to 5 years of Tubby in which he builds us into a contender with the best offense we have ever seen at MSU. He retires and Hudspeth can take over the program for the long term. You know we could conceivably outscore in one year with Hudspeth's offense the last two year's of Croom's offense combined.</p>

and I remeber early in his coaching career, he coached at his old high school Winston Academy. WA had been down many years and he came in and revamped everything. He developed an offense that resembled the old Notre Dame box and in two yrs had a record of 26 and 1 with a State Championship. The boys he was coaching of course were not the best athletes but the job he did put the players in the right position and motivating them was unreal. He moved on to Central Arkansas as the secondary coach and from there he went to Delta State with Steve Campbell as the offensive co-ordinator and developed and built an offense around qb Josh Bright ( from South Panola ) and within 2 yrs, Delta State won the National Championship. From there he went to North Alabama and after his first game against Samford, his team was overmatched badly but only lost by 2 points. Afterward, he came into a loud lockeroom and rared back and punched a metal locker hard two or three times and quieted the team down and proceeded to chew their asses out. They went on to win alot of games that season (2002) and made the playoffs. Guys, joke all you want about Hud, but he is a helluva coach.

I remember Hudspeth too. I can remember watching my brother playing against his teams that were amazing at winston academy. I also went to one of his camps when he first got to UNA. That was one of the hardest camps I had ever been too. I'm telling you that Hudspeth means business and his Lions are killing teams in D2. He has a good offense background and runs a pretty wide open offense. His teams at UNA are hard nosed and play with good discipline. It would be interesting to see what he could do with our offense. I don't think he's ready for this big of an HC job yet, but just as an OC would be ok. It may not be what we are looking for. Who knows what Byrne is up too? Lots of rumors around. We will see.
