Is it a post-possession penalty in which Team-B retains the ball? Where on the field do they get it?

Or is the conversion play simply ruled "no good"?

We are lucky to be penalized. Iowa gets the ball half the distance to the goal, give them another chance.

"No good"...change of possession nullifies Team A's chance to convert.

I can't place the game but I seem to remember a PSU game where a penalty happened at the end of a possession in overtime and it changed where the opening spot of the next possession took place. Either the Michigan 4 OT game or the JT Barrett OSU game. Now I'm gonna have to go see if I can dig up the play-by-play.

Yes, found it. 2014 vs Ohio State -- Hull gets called for leverage on the extra point that ties the game at the end of the 1st OT and Ohio State got the ball to start the next possession at the 12 yard line instead of the 25. So if the original scenario happened in OT, I'd imagine the horse collar would be assessed at the start of Team B's possession so it would be first down at the 12.

A 15 yard penalty would carry over to the next play/kickoff. A 5/10 yarder would be ignored.
