Whats the scenario?

I'm an old head and this playoff thing is getting me confused now: I'm hoping and thinking it wont happen, but if we stumble next week at bama, how far do we fall and whats are chances of getting back in? I hope we go there and just take it to them..

We regroup and go and beat the Bears. Then, as hard as it will be, we pull for Auburn to beat Bama in the Iron Bowl

Highly iffy. I think we are a lock with 1 loss only if we win the SEC. Going to be dicey beyond that.

I'm just hoping they look at most of games and see how far ahead were in most all of them..

I think everyone's real fear on here is that we finish the season with 1 loss to Alabama and get left out of the SEC championship game. Do we still get into the final four.....? I say there is a good chance we do depending on how the rest of the country's games play out. It wouldn't hurt for a bunch of the power 5 conferences to have 2 loss champions. I think we definitely get in over a 2 loss Pac 12 or Big 10 champion in that situation.
