1-10...1 being "don't beat us like LSU did when Furboy through 6 picks", 10 being "we're going to beat you like jackie did in 2000" personally, i'm at a high 7.

And I have a damn Florida Alumni staying in my house right now.

I already told him to keep his mouth shut and be ready because I am going to be hell to deal with tomorrow evening. Win or Lose!

5. We are 3-4 and beat JSU, Vandy and MTSU. We lost to Houston at home. Obviously, Mullen has improved our offense and the team looks like it's had better coaching, so for the future my wool is at a 7.

so I am one HOT sob with all this wool. 8 on the wool meter, more because there is so much excitement around the program now, not so much because I think we are going to win tomorrow.

......come out on the losing end. So much has been said about the past history of this game though that there's little chance of sneaking up on Florida. Plus, they have the personal motivation of playing Dan Mullen.

For the future, I'm still at a 5(It'd be 1 if Croom were still coach). Winning is the name of the game, and all the extra points and more competitive showings mean squat in the long run. This program won't truly turn around until it starts winning, which breeds more winning. Obviously, wins like JSU, Vandy, and MTSU don't count. For the rest of this season we must get a good win or two to feel better about the future.

...mainly because the BCS #1 team in the country is coming in, and it will be a true measure of our improvement. Also, it's exciting that there's so much anticipation and the atmosphere will be tremendous.

But let's face it, we're not winning this game. Wool level? 1, maybe. Had we taken care of business and were at 6-1 (like we really should be right now in hindsight), it would be different.

but not enough to think we will win. I do think we will have a shot. So what's that? Maybe I'll say 5. By kick-off I'll be at a 7 or so, just because I always get a little extra wooly sitting in the stands before a game. As far as the rest of the season goes, or looking into future seasons even, my wool is pretty thick.

damn 1st qtr without falling behind 28-0. I think the meter will rise to a 4. But even with a good 1st qtr, I still think we will be skull dragged to the tune of 35 - 10. This team is not the 2000 team and youth, lack of talent in key positions and the mental aspects of the game will be our doom. 3-5 going into Kentucky.

Coarch Mullens is gonna need a lot more players before we start tangling with the Gator. I think he has shown he can make chicken salad out of chicken ****, so the future is looking brighter than it has in a decade.

it is very inflated because of the fact Florida is #1 in BCS and the Tebow factor and all the hype from everyone. Do I think we will win I don't know?... I like to believe we will.. Probability of us winning easily less than 20% But overall feeling I think this is our weekend mainly because of the hype its garnered and the large amounts of people flowing through Starksville already. Corch Urban Meyer(sp?) I hope you dont feeling obliged to *** rape us tomorrow and I hope those 3 defensive players are out (especially Spikes).. And for all I know our team will come out tomorrow playing at their best because they realize how much is at stake and how much they can shake up the national opinion. So here's to all that have wool growing State 24 - Florida 21. Go Dawgs!!

We're prone to turnovers. Our defense is suspect and we have one playmaker on offense.

Seriously, I don't know what's gotten into some of you people.

I think we can make a respectable showing in this game if we don't make the mistakes we have made in most of our previous games and our defensive secondary play is much improved. If we continue with the fumbles and the defensive secondary play we have seen, we will get killed in this game.

but Mullen has me believing that we can compete against just about anyone with vastly inferior talent. Therefore, I can't wait to see what he does in future years when we actually have SEC caliber players at all positions.

rainey and demps can fly. if the first man doesn't tackle them, we're in trouble. also, their WRs don't have to be THAT good to get open against our D. and tebow is the best QB we've played other than keenum. tebow will make some throws to open guys.

like you said, if we don't limit turnovers, nothng else matters.

They don't have a Brandon Lafell type player, or at least that player hasn't shown himself yet. If they had Harvin this year they would absolutely blow us out quickly. However, I think that if we can hang onto the football, we ought to be able to hang in there for a little while. If we can force turnovers, who knows. I can't see us winning without massive help from Florida, but I also can't see 28-0 after the first quarter. This year they are a purely dink and dunk type team. A very, very good one, mind you, but what really kills our defense is deep crossing patterns and I don't see Florida doing much of that this year.</p>

that our front 7 is pretty damn good. We give up big plays in the secondary and that takes away from it, but make no mistake- we should make it tough on them running the football
Mullen knowing the offense inside and out, their personell, and our defense practicing against this offense every day since the Spring should help as well

We stand a chance.

If we play our season average on offense, and the defense plays as well as it did against LSU and Vandy for the run game (60 carries for 61 yards), we will probably win.

If we have turnovers, such as the four per game we averaged in a three game homestand, we will lose.

Florida's offense does not have the wide receivers to torch us. If we do a good job covering Hernandez (TE) and Cooper (WR) they don't really have much after that. Amazing considering they sign nothing bug 4 and 5* players.

Florida's offense is also missing Mullen.

The only thing that concerns me is the turnovers, we've had so many, teams like Florida will make us pay if we do that.

Like you said, what kills us is the deep passes on our secondary. It will be interesting to see how Florida approaches this game offensively. Will they keep dinking and dunking it and leaning on their running game, or will they try to stretch the field? Surely they understand that our secondary is so terrible that even on our huge jumbotron there have been times where an opposing WR scores a TD without a MSU player visible on the film.

None of this really matters though because Mullen's love for Tebow is going to keep us from winning. /sarcasm
