What's with all the flagrant personal fouls lately

Brignone (sp?) gets taken out by a cheap shot from behind, and last night #7 from Florida without a doubt went for Relph's head. Florida got flagged but I thought deliberate stuff like that called for ejection. It looked like he went in with an elbow or forearm to take him out of the game. Football is rough enough when it's played by the rules.

When another player deliberately makes a hit with the intent of hurting someone they should be immediately ejected, and perhaps suspended for the next game by the conference. Relf could have been seriously hurt last night and all he got was a 15 yard penalty?
