I forget which team it was MSU was playing but someone got ahold of a Facebook picture of the right fielder's girlfriend and they printed out hundreds of pictures of her and taped them facing inward on the other team's bus and when the team got on the bus the next day they all were staring at hundreds of pictures of the girlfriend. They had pictures of her on the right field side and razzed the poor dude the entire series. If I remember correctly he was a good sport about it for awhile but got pretty pissed by the end of the series. 17ing hilarious!

I got a job interview after talking to a guy who gave me a cup for my beer. Good ole left field.

I

always hung out in RF along the wall from 2002-2006. At some point, maybe 03, I received the number to the visitor's bullpen phone. From that point on, I would routinely prank the visiting teams bullpen. Eventually, they would figure this out and quit answering. We would stand back and call it and watch the bullpen catcher jump up and answer the phone. Then we'd suggest someone warm up, to which happened more often than not.

On another occasion, me and a few friendly gentlemen offered Seth Smith a drink. That's a whole other story, though.

Polk used to have the numbers to the phones in the dugout by the phone (they were all 325-XXXX numbers... so it was easy to call from any other phone). I've heard of this happening. That's why Cohen and crew use walkie talkies now.

Haven't hung out too much in LFL.

Clemson 2007 of course- so freaking crowded I had to sit on the wall pretty much for the final four innings. Jumping that thing was the best feeling in the world.

Was there a few weeks ago as a guest and Eric DuBose came up and talked with the owners. I didn't know them, but they were obviously lifers and you could tell he thought of them almost as family. It's just really cool to see stuff like that and the devotion of some people. He talked about times where his mom couldn't come so they'd keep her informed of how they were doing and things like that. They like feeding the other team. I didn't know them at all, but I thanked them for allowing me to just see all of it and thanked them for being so loyal and good to the guys. That's the good stuff.

I sat out in RF for the '07 supers and they were passing out facebook pages of the outfielders. I'm telling you, you will never hear better heckling at a sporting event than you will in right field. The USA left fielder got hell, but with the age in that side of the lounge, it's more tame than the students in right field.

I went to both sides on that game (Clemson). LF was best later because it was just getting crazy crowded. I guess because the older people weren't sitting on the fences and junk- they don't like that. But there was nowhere else to go.

I thoroughly enjoyed both sides that series, and that entire series in general. I don't know how I didn't pass out from dehydration after as much beer I drank and sun I got. Felt like I'd played the game by the end of it. No voice, burnt pretty terribly... but still the best game I've ever been to as far as excitement and just pure joy. Also cool to see Polk in his last game at the Dude and shake his hand.

2007 Supers, RF Side

We did heckle the hell out of those OF'ers. One of the kids - I think it was the CF'er's name was BJ. So folks were hollering "BJ!" After awhile of this, some guy hollered - "BJ?? I'd settle for an HJ!" We won because of that...

Also - my first ever experience with college baseball was with some folks in the lounge when I was a senior in high school trying to decide between Ole Miss and Miss. State. There were many factors, but one of the reasons I went to State was because of how much fun I had in the lounge that day. It really is the best place in College Baseball.

The Ole Miss fight in left field. Witnessed the action personally. If I recall correctly, we swept them that weekend.

Before I joined a group in left-center, I would hang out with friends who used to have the Hard Right Cafe against the right field foul pole. This happened on a Sunday back during the good ole days of Saturday double headers. During the Sunday game with Auburn, one of their starting pitchers who pitched on Saturday got bored in the dugout and came down to the bullpen. He knew there was no way he was going back in on Sunday for any reason so he started asking for food and beer. This guy was huge. He was somewhere in the 6'5" to 6'7" range. In two innings, he ate 2 pork chops, 4 pieces of chicken and drank 2 beers. The other Auburn players in the bullpen were just looking at him and shaking their heads. They told us they were staying in Columbus and went to some restaurant over there that had one of those huge steaks that was free if you ate it all. They said that not only did this guy do it, he ate all of their leftovers too.

Here is a good one I missed. A friend of mine sits on the fence in right-center. One day before deep-friers were banned, his crew was going to do some french fries. He and another guy were dumping a bag of fries into the oil when a chunk of frozen fries poured out. He said that thing went off like a mortar. It singed his eyebrows and shot about 20 feet in the air. They had the radio going and he remembers Jim saying "They're really cooking out in centerfield now." Also, a couple of years ago, the jumbotron showed him pouring a big glass of wine. That should serve as a reminder. Don't pick your nose, scratch your Girados or pour your baseball water where the camera can see you.

You have to remember the TN LF that tried to come over the fence after us. He was their best player and left the game and did not play anymore in that series. Sat with cows many of time

Oklahoma State was destroying Western Carolina, and the WCU coach was meeting on the mound with the pitcher. The LFLers were yelling at the Centerfielder asking him if he wanted a bbq sandwich....after looking in at the dugout, he ran out and grabbed it and put it in his back pocket. Later, the CF said they hadn't eaten since 11 AM...and it was about 7:30 P.M. After the game, the whole WCU team came out and ate in the LFL.
